The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge + Giveaway!

Hello friends! Danielle here!

I am so excited to be playing along with Kathy Racoosin today for her latest 30 Day Coloring Challenge! This is seriously the best challenge ever because it's so simple, and you can spend as much or as little time as you want! All you have to do is color something! It could be a little flower, or an entire scene - whatever you feel like. Just have fun! You can get even more details HERE. Be sure to share your work during the challenge by using #thedailymarker30day on Instagram, or linking up HERE.
I was so excited to break out some pretty watercolors and just RELAX. We are gearing up for our March release in a few weeks which is keeping me busy, so it was really nice to just sit down and paint!

Kathy and I thought it would be fun to both use the Faceted stamp set. I started by gold heat embossing it, and then watercoloring. I love how the gold shines :)  I also embossed a sentiment from a new March set you will get to see soon! Lastly, I added some of our Sunset Shimmer Mix sequins (my personal favorite mix!) to add a little pop!

I do hope you will take some time to play along!

But wait, I also have a GIVEAWAY for you! To win our Faceted stamp set for yourself, leave a comment below and tell me what is your favorite thing to color with?
I think Kathy might have a giveaway for you too ;) So be sure to head over to her BLOG to enter!

Thanks for stopping by!
Danielle

Can't choose just one, that is like asking me to choose a favorite color (or child)....I love them all equally but for different reasons! LOL.....my arsenal runs the gamut from colored pencils to gansi tambi's and everthing in between.....and I STILL love the smell of a brand new box of crayons :-)

  70. Honestly right now my favorite ting to color with are my Bic Marks-It markers. They are cheap alcohol markers, but they *are* alcohol markers, so they lay down smooth and don't pill the paper. And they come in a nice range of colors. They come in both fine and medium widths. And they are cheap, so i don't have to baby them like Copics.

  71. Brilliant card, Danielle!

  87. I've always loved to color, since I was a child. Then, of course, I used crayons, but now as an adult, I prefer to color with pencils. I have two sets; one for home and one for the road that I use when I don't have internet access! Sometimes I print out coloring pages from online and I recently bought a coloring book. I actually prefer to print pages because I can pick exactly the images I like!

  101. Wow what a great stamp set love it and all those shapes and sentiments too - great. I love using watercolours to colour and am gradually getting better using them. I can see this stamp used and coloured in greys with a sympathy sentiment to cheer and support all in one. Would love to own it. Love your card and the gold embossing just gives those vibrant colours a real pop.

    ReplyDelete
  102. This stamp set is amazing! My favorite thing to color with depends on what I am coloring! Nothing beats good old fashioned crayons for the sheer joy and relaxation of it, but if I am doing it to create something then I prefer colored pencils (I like Derwent Inktense) and pens (Staedler Triplus for those tiny spaces). I'd love to get into Copics or other more Art markers, but the prices have been a deterrent.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Gorgeous card, love the stamp and your colouring. I need to practice with water colours
so I tend to use Promarkers and pencils.

The coloring is so relaxing that it's always a treat. I'm probably getting better results with copics, because I'm new to all the watercoloring, but it's such fun that I just keep at it, hoping to improve.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Really hard to pick one favorite coloring method, Danielle. To color a pictural image, I usually prefer colored pencils and Gamsol, or sometimes Copics, but I love watercolors, too, especially for geometrics like this faceted stamp. It just depends on what mood I'm in that day. I like to try everything!

    ReplyDelete

  177. This stamp set rocks! Love the geometric design and the sentiments are great too. My go to coloring medium is Promarkers, but only because I am most comfortable with them. I have Zigs, regular watercolors, and Inktense pencils. I just need to use them all more frequently.
