Neat & Tangled / My Sweet Petunia Collaboration Week - Day 3

©Candles in the Garden. Neat and Tangled Collaboration with My Sweet Petunia

I can't believe we are already half way through our week with My Sweet Petunia, I hope you've been enjoying all the projects so far!

If you're not familiar with My Sweet Petunia they manufacture the MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented), which was one of the Hot Product winners at this year's CHA.  This week the team is showcasing how the MISTI simplifies (and makes foolproof) the stamping process as well as techniques that it enables.

We have some serious prizes up for grabs this week.  Comment all week on our collaboration posts to be in the drawing to receive your own MISTI, and be sure to stop by the My Sweet Petunia blog.  We've divided the team up this week, some will be posting here and some will be posting there.  Comments left on the My Sweet Petunia blog will put you in the running for a $100 Neat & Tangled credit!

Mayuri is up to bat today:

This is the first time I used the MISTI and I can honestly say that I'm hooked!

For my card, I began by stamping the speech bubble from Turkey Talk backwards, first onto a card base, but also onto a panel of cardstock that was of the same size.

I like how you can use the MISTI in this way, to create the same pattern endlessly on individual panels, knowing that it'll stamp in exactly the same place each time! Its perfect for what I wanted to do for the focal element of my card!

To finish off the pattern, I stamped the solid heart from Jump Start My Heart towards the bottom of the card. I also flipped the speech bubble stamp the right way round and stamped the outline in the same place as the solid impressions.

Out of the stamped panel of cardstock I die-cut the sentiment using the Hello There die - this is where the MISTI saved the day! I knew that when I adhered the die-cut piece to the card front, it would match perfectly! And it did!

To finish, I stamped a sentiment with black die ink and scattered a few Sparkling Clear and Buttercream Satin sequins.

OK, now head over to the My Sweet Petunia blog to check out what Nina-Marie created.  Here's a little sneak peek for you:

See you tomorrow!
