Caution: Halloween!

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! It's Taheerah here with a card to kick off your weekend!

With it being Halloween today I thought I'd share a fun Halloween card that combines a few Neat & Tangled stamps!

I wanted to create something that was a little bit different, so I came up with this:

I love how this card turned out!!

I wanted to create a card that had a little more of a gore look, so I decided to use the Ink Splash stamps as blood splatter!

I then decided to create a bit of a crime scene, and every crime scene needs caution tape! I created mine by repeatedly stamping the sentiment from Creepy Cute, then masking it and overstamping the airmail strip from On The Strip. I added a few strips across my card and that resulted in my finished design!

The Caring Hearts Card Drive!

Hi friends!

The holidays are just around the corner, filled with opportunities to celebrate with family and friends. But during this special season, many of the elderly who live in nursing homes may be alone and missing their families. Wouldn’t it be awesome to bring smiles to their faces and brighten their holidays? That’s what the Caring Hearts Card Drive is all about! This wonderful card drive is hosted by Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire and is in its 5^th year of collecting holiday cards to send to the elderly in nursing homes. And we here at Neat and Tangled are so proud to sponsor this worthwhile effort!

Today I am SO excited to let you know that we have a new illustrator joining us at Neat and Tangled. Her name is Cynthia Renard and she is just the most amazing girl! Her fun, positive, whimsical style always puts a smile on my face. She is so incredibly talented! You MUST visit her Instagram account and website. She does the most adorable custom artwork you've ever seen - I'm thinking of getting a portrait of our family done for Christmas! Here is a little about Cynthia:

I believe that the best thing in arts is its imperfections.

Art, or any piece created lovingly by hand, is a reflection of the heart and soul of the artist and it clearly speaks of her individuality, and even these flaws and imperfections that define her as a human being.
