Tangled Up in Christmas: Christmas Eve!

Danielle here, and yikes! It's Christmas Eve! I still feel like kid, I get so excited I have trouble sleeping! Good thing I have 1028 presents that still need wrapping to give me something to do ;)

I have another special card to share with you today from my lovely friend, Laurie from Soapbox Creations.  I thought this was a perfect card to share with you today, because, you know, Santa's getting all ready to leave the North Pole ;)

Hi all! Danielle here with day 23 of our Tangled Up in Christmas celebration!
tangledinxmas
Today I am sharing my project for the current YCU challenge! This time it's all about Something Sweet :)

Since it's still Christmas-time I thought it would be fun to use some peppermint patterned paper.  I added a little twine, and a banner and sentiment from a yet to be seen Neat and Tangled set ;) (it's part of our January release!)

I hope you are all enjoy the hustle and bustle over the next few days! Even though I usually end up exhausted I do love all the preparation!

Tangled Up in Christmas Day 22: Christmas Gifts

Hello! This is Pamela for Day 22 for Tangled Up in Christmas. Let me show you what Christmas favours I made for my friends this year with my Neat & Tangled stamps.  This time, I used Neat & Tangled's Elves at Work and Sweet Home for my little gifts.

tangledinxmas

I made two types of Christmas gifts this year.  A pyramid favour box with some Lindt chocolate inside and a tag set with various designs on them.

Christmas Favours

I first die cut the favour box with some cardstock.  Then I die cut a few triangles for my designs.  These little favours boxes are perfect for the recipient to hang on their Christmas trees!  My tag set features three fun shaker tags packaged into a 100% handmade box, designed to fit my tags.

How is your Christmas crafting coming along?

Tangled up in Christmas: Day 20- stamped gift package

Hey! Kasia here with another Tangled up in Christmas idea! I'm challenging myself this year with brown packing paper as the only gift wrap and today I want to show you idea how to make it a bit cuter! You will need only some brown paper, washi tape and of course Neat and Tangled lovely stamps to pack your gifts with a little twist!

Wrap your gift in the paper and secure it with washi tape- I got mine from IKEA this year and it was really inexpensive- perfect for wrapping stuff!

On the place where tapes cross each other place a stamped image. I really like the look of stamps from Santa's Note and of course Do not Open placed in there! Than if you wish scatter some stamped snowflakes or stars on the package for more detailed look.

I really like gifts packed this way, they work as a cute decoration too! To be honest I don't even want to open them now! :) Wishing you bright and merry days in this final countdown till Christmas! :)

Tangled Up in Christmas Day 19: Sweet Wishes

tangledinxmas

Hi Everyone, Chari here with Day 19 of Tangled up in Christmas.  I have been seeing lots of the inktense pencils on blogs lately so it inspired me to play with my colored pencils some.  No I don't have any inktense pencils myself...well not yet anyway, I'm hoping Santa might bring me some! :)

SweetWishes

I heat embossed all the images in white embossing powder on Neenah Desert storm cardstock.  Then I broke out my Prismacolor pencils and colored everything.  Because I wanted this card to be very "sweet" I applied clear rock candy distress stickles to all the images.  I think it gives them a nice sugar coated look and makes all the sweets sparkle.  I added red stickles to the tree just for something a little extra.  This card is nice and flat and would be perfect to send through the mail for the holidays.

Tangled Up in Christmas Day 15: card with many small elements

Hey, it's Kasia here today with a little project made for Tangled up in Christmas blog series! I made this card a while ago and I used here many small images from various Neat and Tangled sets and all together they create a cute centerpiece of my card.
I stamped some candy canes and peppermint  on white cardstock, cut it out carefully and colored them in. I did this same with gingerbread people but I decided to stamp them on craft cardstock- it gives them lovely, ''baked'' look :) I placed all the small elements around Do Not Open stamp and added some snowflakes to my background for a bit more messy look.

You could also group some small elements to decorate gift tags, placecards on your Christmas table or even gift packages! Have fun!

Tangled Up in Christmas Day 14: Treat Bags

Good morning friends,

Do you give edible treats and baked goods for the holiday? I certainly do, and I am always looking for crafty ways to help dress up my treats.   I want to share with you today how I used my Neat and Tangled stamps to create a holiday house from a small kraft coffee bag. I usually opt for the bags that are lines with the plastic coating to keep any oils from the baked treats from marring the outside of the bag.

I used the scallop rows from Little Tangles to create the roof and trimmed it with the peppermint from Santa's Notes. The peppermint fits perfectly inside a 1/2" circle punch.

I re-purposed the gifts from Elves at Work as windows along with the Santa's Workshop sign. The north pole from Santa's Notes became the door frame and some gum drops from Hey Cookie accent the snowdrift landscape.

Your bag is now ready for whatever yummy treats you plan to place inside. Happy Baking!

Tangled Up in Christmas Day 7: Sweet Treat Container

tangledinxmas

We're Tangled Up In Christmas this month, with card ideas and inspiration!

I made a little windowed treat box with my Silhouette Cameo and some sweet stamps.

I combined 2 Silhouette Store cut files to make this little bag. I cut it from Hero Arts Shallows layering papers and scored it myself. (I think the perforated score lines are kind of ugly, so I usually delete those and score my own.)

I randomly stamped the snowflake image from Hey Cookie in Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white.

I cut a rectangle of clear plastic and glued it over the window. (I used recycled packaging here.)

While in my Silhouette software, I modified the bag shape to cut a "cuff" of a contrasting color. This is Hero Arts Carnation layering paper.

I glued these to my bag die cut.

I burnished all of my score lines and added my adhesive to the glue tab.

I stamped my sentiment and 2 candy canes on scraps of matching cardstock and heat embossed in white

I added some sparkle to my candy cane with a Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Star pen.

I added my sentiment and a bit of coordinating ribbon to close my box.

December Guest Designer: Donna Mikasa

tangledinxmas

Welcome to Day 3 of our Christmas extravaganza ;) Another day another special guest! Today we have the always inspiring Donna Mikasa! She is joining us for the month of December as our guest designer.  Here is a little bit about her:

IMG_0008_3_2
Hello! My name is Donna Mikasa and my blog is three umbrellas. I live in Pearl City, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we have two grown daughters. I’ve been stamping for many years and I’m always on the lookout for new stamp companies.

I love Neat and Tangled stamps. They’re fresh and trendy with a touch of cuteness, too. And Cath has recently declared them Moxie Fab as well! I’m excited to share my projects with you this month. Thank you, Danielle, for having me as your guest designer for December!

My Christmas card uses the adorable bear from the Little Bear set. I stamped him twice and colored them with Copics. I drew in some eyes on one of the bears and added a Santa cap from Lawn Fawn. The background was stamped with Hero Arts’ woodgrain background and the sentiment comes with the set. I also added some veneer stars for a bit of interest.

I also created some pillow boxes and the Do Not Open image fit perfectly on the side. I stamped the banner portion twice and ink distressed with red and green distress inks to emphasize the date. Some snowflakes from Hey Cookie were added and the boxes are ready to be packed with a gift card or some CA$H.

I hope I’ve inspired you to ink up your Neat and Tangled stamps for the holidays!

Thank you so much Donna for such fun and festive projects!
