Get crafty with Francine – Watercolor Bubbles Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! 

Francine here with a new video tutorial! Here is a close up of my card:

Today, I’m going to show you how to create watercolor bubbles with Distress inks. For this card, I decided to feature the Everyday Circles stamp set and I thought the "Hello" sentiment would be perfect with this bubble design. This set is probably one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets! You can use it in so many different ways. It’s a "must have" in my (your) sentiment stamp collection.

TIPS & TRICKS:

• Draw circles using a circle template to create a unique design.
• Choose two shades to color each bubble. This will add interest and create more depth.
• Let dry before you color the intersecting circles.
• Try different techniques with this design: use watercolors, Zig or Tombow markers, pencils or alcohol markers.

Punchinella Hello!

Hello friends, Danielle here!

Yay for Thursday! The weekend is so close!  

I have a quick card for you today using some of my very favorite things: gold, Versafine Onyx black ink, vellum, and our new Punchinella die!

This card is great to mass produce, and you can use any combination of papers and inks to get different looks.  I layered my gold glitter paper, vellum, and a portion of a Punchinella die cut I made. For the sentiment, I used our Everyday Circles stamp set. So easy! Perfect for when you just want to send a quick hello :)

Also, this morning we added a restock of dies (Hoop Die, Box Die, Seeing Stars, and Hello There) and Lucy's Little Things Shaker Mixes, so be sure to head to the shop if you've been waiting for those! We also brought on 6 new colors of Lucy's mixes:

January Guest Designer: Dana Fleckenstein

Hello everyone, it's Dana again with a new card using the two other Neat & Tangled favorites, the Tiny Triangles die and the Everyday Circles stamp set. 

I'm still in love with artistic watercolor looks and decided to cut the Tiny Triangles from watercolor paper, then colored it with different turquoise, green and yellow hues. When everything was dry, I used the glitter splatter technique to randomly adhere some loose glitter over the die cut. Next up, I picked a coordinating ombre ink and stamped the "Hello" circle from the Everyday Circles stamp set on fabric. Before I popped everything up on the card base, I used a bright yellow ink dauber behind the die cut for some contrast.

Sequin Crazy!

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! It's Taheerah here with a card to kick off your weekend!

Do you know how awesome Neat & Tangled sequins are? Very awesome, that's how awesome! Danielle started this trend way back when we were all thinking 'Sequins? On a card? Instead of rhinestons? What?'

I don't think I've used a single rhinestone on a card since. Heh.

So for my card today I wanted to celebrate all things sequin! And what better way to do that with a fun shaker card?!

I love how this turned out!!

I wanted to create a super-fun sequin background to start with, so I used the sequin stamp from Photo Booth to do just that! I went with a more masculine colour scheme because, well, why not?!

I then had loads of fun picking out which colour sequins to use! There are so many I'm pretty much spoilt for choice! I opted for colours that closely matched my colour palette, and complimented those with stamped sentiment circles from Everyday Circles - kinda like giant sequins in themselves!

I sandwiched all my sequins and sentiments with a sheet of acetate to create the fun, full-card window! I adhered that to my base and added some hand-drawn faux stitching and I was all done!

Still Loving Gold!

Hello friends! Danielle here. The current Little Tangles challenge is one of my favorites. It is the color combo of white and gold, and I am a big fan!

And here is my card! Now I know, there is a lot of kraft going on too, but I did use white and gold!  I needed a quick card to mail with a package, so I stamped the Hello from Everyday Circles and added a few accents with a white gel pen. 

Easy to mass produce! And you could easily use any of the stamps from Everyday Circles!

Holiday Gift Packaging

Jean here sharing some holiday packaging ideas using stamps from the September Neat and Tangled stamp release. I love dressing up gifts with little touches and decided to get an early start on my tag making. Danielle always includes lots of little extra on the stamp sets that can be used in all sorts of fun ways. Let’s take a look!

For my first tag, I combined the sentiment from Merry and Bright with one of the snowflakes from Santa’s Tags. I intentionally chose the colors so that this would look a bit like Santa’s waistline.

On my second tag, I used a sentiment from Santa’s Tags along with the snowflakes, as well as, the holly leaves and berries from Simple Christmas. 

Finally, while I was stamping those leaves and berries, it occurred to me that it would be fun to dress up cellophane treat bags with a seal. I stamped the leaves and berries on die-cut label paper, then finished them off with the circle outline from Everyday Circles. I put miniature chocolates and caramels in the bags.

Happy Birthday Background

Hi all! Happy Friday!

Katie Gehring here today. We have been celebrating Neat and Tangled's first birthday all this month and I brought a birthday card using Everyday Circles to the party to share with you!

Using the "birthday" sentiment from Everyday Circles, I built a background by stamping the word repeatedly in 3 ink colors. Next, I die cut a circle in the bottom third of the card and mounted the stamped panel onto a piece of black cardstock with foam tape.

I stamped the solid "Happy" circle onto a scrap of cream cardstock and punched it out with a 1/2" circle punch.  I centered it inside the die cut circle and secured it with some adhesive.

I love how the black mat forms another border around the circle.  As a finishing touch, I added a few black sequins.  

Since you can't have a party without presents, Danielle is including this sweet little 3 x 2" set called Dreams with all stamp orders placed this month.  With only a little over a week left in the month, be sure to place an order and to claim yours!

Amy K. here sharing a bright and sunshiny birthday card perfect for anyone!  I've stamped the Sunburst background and layered a stamped circle from Everyday Circles.  The fun thing about these circles is that they are easily punched with a circle punch!

Birthday Bash Party Crasher: Rylee Willison!

Hello, hello!  I am here today with a VERY special party crasher! You all are familiar with my awesome friend Laurie Willison of Soapbox Creations. Well, today her daughter, Rylee is guest designing with us! I've seen Laurie share photos of her daughter getting crafty, especially during the latest Online Card Class, and I just had to have her make an appearance here! I bet there are lots of Neat and Tangled fans with daughters, granddaughters, nieces, friends, etc. that love to get crafty and would love to see other kids crafting too!

So, here is Rylee's card to help us celebrate! Be sure to leave her some love!



I love how she paired On the Strip 2 with Everyday Circles. It's clean, simple, and perfectly balanced! I think we've got some future Stamping Royalty on our hands! :)

Happy Birthday Neat & Tangled!

Yay!  Neat & Tangled turns one this month :) I used Every Day Circles and stamped the cardbase in blue, orange and aqua. It turned out to be a beautiful background, but a little too bright and busy for my birthday sentiment.

So I lightened the background by stitching a piece of vellum over the card base and stamped my birthday sentiment in black.

I love how simple this card looks and it's just perfect for mailing!

Happy, Happy Birthday!

Hello! Chari here today with a simple birthday card that uses the new Everyday Circles set and some yummy shadow inks.  Shadow inks are perfect for the solid stamps in this set and they blend together nicely when stamped on top of each other.



I created a bit of a gradient with different inks and used the outline circle to highlight the circle I wanted to be part of my sentiment.  Or course I embellished with clear sequins, a little shine that doesn't distract from the stamping.  Make these in a variety of colors and have birthday cards ready to go when you need them.

Textured Fun Blog Hop!

Hi friends! Danielle here for a fun blog hop today! Nina Yang (one of Neat and Tangled's own DT members!) has designed stamps and dies for Avery Elle and I couldn't be more excited to help show them off in this awesome hop!

You should have arrived from Nina's blog, which was the first stop.

Today we are all showcasing Texture Tiles: Be Cool, which is a perfect set for adding interest, creating background, and fun accents!

I am very into the mint and gold color combo at the moment, so I used it for this card.  I stamped the stripe tile in Delicata gold ink onto some mint cardstock - perfection!  I also used the little triangles to create the little border in gold as well.  The sentiment is from Neat and Tangled's Everyday Circles. Lastly, I added a few enamel dots and gold sequins and ta-da!  Hope you enjoy!
