We are all made of stories...

Hello there!
Mayuri to share a card using the exclusive 'We Are All Made of Stories' stamp set from the Mix Tape October Kit by Scrapbook Circle.

I also used some of the papers from the kit to whip up this super simple shaker card, using a technique demonstrated by Julie Ebersole here. I began by mounting a piece of pattern paper onto a kraft card base and then moved on to the shaker.

I then took a smaller piece of pattern paper and stamped the large greeting with black dye ink. I trimmed a piece of acetate to the same size and began sealing both pieces together with washitape on three of the four sides.

I added some sequins from the Sunset Shimmer mix along with one of the cork heart embellishments from the kit before sealing the pocket shut.

To finish, I foam mounted the shaker pocket to the card front! Simple, quick and easy!

Neat & Tangled / Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop Week - Day 5

What a great week we have had hopping with Scrapbook Circle!  Scrapbook Circle is a monthly Scrapbook Kit Club run by Lisa Andrews.  Their kits are jam packed full of beautiful papers, embellishments, and exclusives, and this month those kits include an exclusive stamp set design by Neat & Tangled!

All week the team has been sharing projects created using the October kit:  Mix Tape and the Scrapbook Circle team will be featuring projects using the exclusive stamp set as well.  If you haven't been following along all week, you'll want to go back and check/comment on the rest of this week's posts.  One lucky commenter on the Neat & Tangled blog will win a $30 credit to the Scrapbook Circle store, and one lucky commenter on the Scrapbook Circle blog will win a $30 Neat & Tangled credit!

Amy and Sveta are wrapping up our week with two amazing projects!  First up is Sveta:

Hey! Hope you are enjoying this week collaboration with Scrapbook Circle Kit Club?  I adore perfectly gathered together goodies! How do they do it, like it's made by one company in one collection?  I decided to create a mini album.  This kit is very universal:  first I thought that I needed photos of city walks with an urban spirit, but I didn't have such, instead I had photos from the Dominican Republic, where we had our honeymoon.  The paper and embalishments fit perfectly for my story.  The Neat & Tangled Stamp set was just right for the header of any album, so that's what I did.  Making this album was easy and fun!

Next we have Amy:

Hello!  It's Amy here sharing a card that I made using the gorgeous Scrapbook Circle kit!  The papers and embellishments that are in the Mix Tape kit are so much fun....love Danielle's awesome stamp set:

Everything except for the mini clothespin came in the kit.  I just love everything, it was hard to decide which elements to use!  Don't you love the exclusive stamp set that Danielle designed for Scrapbook Circle?

Check out the interior of my card, that's the other image that comes in the stamp set:

I quickly swiped some peerless watercolor over it and then hit it with my heat gun.  Make sure you check out the other projects that my teamies have posted this week along with the Scrapbook Circle blog!

Guess what?  I have another card to share over on my blog AND I have a giveaway!  I have an extra stamp set, We are all made of Stories!  Pop over there after you're done here!

What a wonderful way to end the week, no?  Don't forget to leave comments on all our posts this week to be in the draw to win the credit to Scrapbook Circle, and be sure to stop by their blog and leave comments to be in the running for a credit from Neat & Tangled.

Mayuri and Nina-Marie are up today.  First up is Nina-Marie:

For my card, I have used the lovely handwritten sentiment from the Stories Neat & Tangled stamp set, as well as some cork feathers, which are included in the Scrapbook Circle kit.  I love the ink smooshing technique, so I had create a watercolor background using some distress inks!

For the cork feathers, I covered them with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder to tie in with the rest of the gold elements I have on my card. To finish off the card, I scattered Winter WonderlandPixie Dust and Gold Dust sequins around the card front.

And now for Mayuri:

So, you know how I like a good smoosh, right?! With inks I mean? That's the technique that I've really been enjoying for showcasing Danielle's beautiful, hand drawn sentiments, but paired with those cork embellishments, you're definitely on to a winner!

I used Dylusions Ink sprays here, but not in the usual way - I unscrewed the bottles of a couple, and drew straight onto an acrylic block with the little pipes/nozzles. Then, I spritzed a piece of watercolour paper with water and laid the acrylic block upside down, allowing the ink to spread and blend!

The effect is different every time (which is why I keep going back to it!). I trimmed the panel down to be the same size as my card base, stamped the sentiment from Stories with Versamark ink and heat set in white. The die-cut panel was then adhered to the card base - to finish, I added a couple of cork embellishment and called it done!

That's all for us today, but please stop by the Scrapbook Circle blog to see what their DT created, and remember to leave comments on all the hop posts this week to be entered for the prizes!

Today Emily and Amandine are sharing their projects.  First up is Emily:

I love using patterned paper whenever I can and I had so much fun putting together a scrappy card for Neat & Tangled's collaboration week with Scrapbook Circle. The October Kit: Mix Tape has so many beautiful papers, embellishments and, of course, the exclusive stamp set featuring Danielle's lovely handwriting!

I mixed and matched the stamps, patterned papers, stickers and accents to create one long, continuous sentiment down the centre of the card. I added stitching details at the top, lined the back of the cork label with black cardstock and paper pieced the books.

Even though I combined eight of the kit elements on my card, I could easily make a dozen more cards with the supplies in this wonderful kit. It's a great value!

Be sure to stop by my blog for a full list of supplies and leave a comment there for your chance to win the exclusive Stories stamp set!

Amandine has a layout to share, and she also created a video so you can see it coming together.

Hello everyone ! I am delighted to share with you a page that speaks to my heart!  I'm currently experiencing some important changes in my life, and have been learning to love myself more each day (what woman has not doubted her beauty right?)  This fabulous kit was perfect for creating a page to remind me that good things are coming my way!

What better way to show you the realization of this very CAS layout than with a video :)? Come on let's go !

Thanks to Emily and Amandine for the beautiful projects!  Don't forget to stop by the Scrapbook Circle blog and come back tomorrow for more great inspiration!

May is up today:

Hi, it's May here with a fun card that I made using patterned papers from Scrapbook Circle October Kit. I started by die cutting some shapes with Scored Shapes Dies
Then I added a couple layers of vellum and black stripes patterned paper on the yellow card base after putting together the die-cuts using foam tape.

For the sentiment banner, I stamped the sentiment from Woof and the banner from Creepy Cute Shadows. Then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I adhered the banner on the card front using foam tape after die cutting it with Creepy Cute Shadows dies.

I made a quick video tutorial to show you how I created the card. You can watch the tutorial here or in HD on the Neat and Tangled YouTube channel

As a finishing touch, I added a small heart to the card front using the puffy sticker from Scrapbook Circle October KitThat's all I have today. Hope you love my card and get some inspiration. Thank you!

Neat & Tangled / Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop Week - Day 1

Hey everyone!  We're so excited to be hopping with Scrapbook Circle this week!  Scrapbook Circle is a monthly Scrapbook Kit Club run by Lisa Andrews.  Their kits are jam packed full of beautiful papers, embellishments, and exclusives, and this month those kits include an exclusive stamp set design by Neat & Tangled!

Today Danielle and Miriam are sharing their projects:

For Danielle's card, she started with a plain white card base and stamped the book image from the exclusive Neat and Tangled set designed for Scrapbook Circle. Then she cut the sentiments from the Pretty Little Studio mini word tags and mounted them on a small piece of white cardstock, which was then adhered to the card base with foam adhesive. To finish it off she add a puffy red heart from the Evalicious puffy stickers included in the kit.

Miriam is sharing a layout:

I love the stamp set and used the books to create a border for my title panel.  I watercolored the border and then fussy cut the top.

I love how bold and graphic the papers in this kit are.  I chose one of the graphic black and white prints for my base paper and then layered some of the other papers under my photo.  I used one of the journaling cards on one side as well to kind of anchor the photo.

There is a great mix of embellishments in the kit.  I was particularly enamored with the Elle's Studio cork shapes and Evalicious puffy stickers.  I stamped the word 'stories' from the N&T stamp and added that with one of the cork pieces in the kit.
