Quick and simple one layer Christmas cards (using non-christmas stamps)

Hello crafty peeps,

it's Christine.
I have 3 types of quick and easy Christmas cards to share. I guess you all know them:

Many people start mass-producing cards for Christmas, so I thought I'd share three one layer cards that can easily be mass-produced.. They're all quick and easy, but some are even quicker that others ;) And the best thing: You don't even need any Christmas stamps for the following projects:

Type 1: "There's plenty of time left, so I'll mix some techniques"

Ink your On the corner die with Versamark before you place it on your cardbase and run it through your die-cut-machine
Remove the die and sprinkle on some glittery embossing powder to accentuate the cut frame. Heat emboss.
Stamp the sentiment from on the corder additions.
Add some sequins (Birthday Bash Mix) and gems
stick some washi tape to the bottom of the card
round the top corners.

Type 2: "November already, let's do something less time consuming"

Stamp and emboss your sentiment from Sparkle and Shine in White
Also stamp and emboss the Circle from Sparkle and Shine and the circle from Creepy Cute
color the circles with watercolor.
remove color from white embossed areas.
color gems in matching colours using Markers (Copic for example) and add them.

Type 3: "Oh gosh! December 18th already and I still need a bunch of cards. it MUST be simple!"

stamp the Time Warp background in gold ink (I uses Brilliance)
Stamp a star from Photo Booth and the Sentiment from Sparkle and Shine and gold emboss both.
Round the corners.

That's how it works, right? ;)

Hi everyone! This is Yana and today I have a fun scenic card to share with you. After Neat & Tangled releaser their first dies, those being the On the Corner and A lot to Say I immediately started playing with them.

I have already shared my first cards with you here and today I wanted to show you another card that I made using the new die. I also used a ton of stamps from Neat & Tangled and created a scene behind my street sign.

Hey there, happy saturday!

I hope you all have a good week-end. Will you be celebrating mother's day?
Today I have a video, featuring a technique for those of you who are not afraid to get inky fingers. (For all the very clean ones: So sorry ;) )
I created a fingerprint-background some time ago and thought that might be inspiring for some of you. This makes your card more personal, more unique, more you!

I used Kindness Matters and On the corner additions for this card (along with some additional handwriting which is not as beautiful, haha). I also tried out different inks - watch the video to find out which worked best for me.

Don't you think this would make a beautiful mother's day card?
I love that you have to take a closer look to realize this card is full of fingerprints.

Diamonds, hope anchors, on the corner additions 2.23.2014

Hi everyone,

it's Christine on this lovely sunday! (Spring shows here in Germany - I love it!). My weekends are always crafty, so I have two cards to share with you:

For the first card I created a nice, bold watercolor-background. I put some distress inks onto my crafty sheet (I used worn lipstick and mustard seed - they work so cool together, for sure one of my favorite combos for watercolor techniques), added some water with my mister and put white cardstock on it. I never use watercolor-paper, but it still works. After it dries I put it underneath a heavy box to flatten out.

Then I used the gorgeous, brand new Diamonds stamp and white embossed it onto that bright background. I also added some shadows to the diamonds for even more dimension. The sentiment is a mix-and match of different stamps from On the corner additions. That's it - so easy, yet eyecatching!

The second card is all about nautical. I have a few paper pads with nautical papers. I picked this one because it matched a few of my DYI enamel dots very well and I badly wanted to use them. I rounded some corners and stitching lines to add some more interest to this very simple card. Hope Anchors is such an amazing combo of sentiment and image.
