Wishing You A Merry Christmas with Keeway

Hi crafty friends! It's time for a merry crafty session with Keeway. I love pulling together all my sets to find new combinations to use them, and today I decided to bring out all the little cute guys! 

My all-time favorite has always been this little dog with reindeer antlers from the Get Yeti stamp set. From this set, also is the little snowman and the left penguin. The right penguin came from the Stay Cool stamp set. I stamped the images in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. I die cut the images out with the Get Yeti coordinating dies, and Stay Cool coordinating dies.

For my layout, I framed it with the foliage from the Magical Day stamp set, also stamped four of them in dark brown hybrid ink and colored with copic markers. I die cut these out with their coordinating dies.

I created a snowy ink blended background with Stormy Sky distress oxide and also die cut a curved snowy hill out of white card stock, which was gently blended with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink.

For the front layer, I used Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I trimmed a small piece for the top, and a larger piece for the bottom. The bottom piece was also die cut with a scallop edge using the Scalloped dies. On the lower panel, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Pageant stamp set. I love the large font.

With all the pieces ready, I can now finally assemble it altogether, with the mini scene built and the branches and front panel framing it, and the sentiment right below. Whew! That was a lot!

Hope today's project inspires you to mix various sets that you may already have to create new and fun ideas. It's always fun to play around reimagine the possibilities that may not have been there when you first got a set!

Snow One Like You with Keeway

Hey there! It's Keeway and I'm thrilled to be here to send over some winter inspirations for your holiday cardmaking and the Stay Cool set is just perfect to help us out today!
I started by stamping a few images from the stamp set in dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. Then I die cut the images out with the coordinating dies. I added the fish to the end of the fish line and used a thin copic multiliner to connect it to the fish's mouth.

To frame this little scene, I die cut a circle out of an A2 sized white card stock, offset to the right side. I used the snowflake image from the Stay Cool stamp set and Snow Fun stamp set to create a stamped pattern background.

For the background I laid behind the frame, I ink blended Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks. I also die cut a snow drift and blended the edge with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink. I stamped the image of the hole onto this piece and colored it with copic markers.

I stamped the sentiment from the Snow Fun stamp set in Versamark ink onto kraft card stock, and heat embossed it in white. I used the fishtail banner die in the Triangle box to partial die cut the shape around the sentiment. I added this banner, the eskimo, and the penguin to the card with foam squares to finish it up!

Merry Christmas Pageant with Keeway

Hi friends! How's it going? Have you started crafting for the holidays yet? It's almost November, and soon December will crawl up behind you! It's always to great to start early, but if you're not quite ready, hope my project today will spark some inspiration for the future!

With the new Nativity Play, Darling Dreidels, and Angel Wings released this recent October Release, I was reminded of how much I loved the stamp set that started it all, Christmas Pageant! So I decided to dust it off and use it for today's project.

I stamped the snowman and a few snowflakes in dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.

I created a quick blended background with Mermand Lagoon and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks, and added some Mermaid Lagoon splatter and white paint splatter. I also die cut a ground level that was gently blended with Tumbled Glass.

I picked out a pattern paper that I die cut with the A2 rectangle, and then with the larger oval from Card Front Design dies. With the frame, I was able to position my sentiment and the hanging strings for the snowflakes, which I stamped in the same dark brown ink.

Finally, I added the snowflakes to the background, and then the frame over foam tape, and lastly my cute little snowman with some foam squares!

I Love Fall with Keeway

Hello Fall! With Fall now officially in season, it seems even more than fitting to create a Fall themed card to share with you today! Besides, I just adore everything in our September Release, so I couldn't wait to share more inspiration using those goodies. My project is showcasing the Oh Deer and Birch Leaf sets!

The details on the Birch Leaf die cut is oh so gorgeous. And with such detail, I love to keep it simple and bring it out with some ink blending beneath it. I blended a piece of bristol paper using Mowed Lawn and Tea Dye distress oxide inks. Then, I die cut the Birch Leaf five times. and arranged them to create a delicate frame. I adhered them with adhesive spray and trimmed off any excess hanging off the edges.

I stamped a pair of deers from the Oh Deer stamp set in dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with my copic markers. Then I die cut the images out with their coordinating dies. I also heat embossed a sentiment from the Birch Leaf stamp set in white onto kraft card stock, and trimmed it to a thin strip. I finished the card by adding these pieces with foam squares. Thanks So Very Much with Keeway

Hey there! It's Keeway and today I wanted to bring you a more classic thank you card using the Thanks So Much and Art Deco sets. The style of both these sets interact beautifully together, especially with all the fun geometric shapes and lines.

I started this project by embossing the small rectangular frame with stripes onto a soft grey cardstock. Then, I heat embossed the sentiment that perfectly fits within that diamond shape right after. I wanted to give this piece a frayed edge, so I decided to cut the edges with my paper trimmer rather than the die cut to make sure I had enough edge to work with.

Next, on a piece of watercolor paper, I heat embossed the large art deco design in white. I used my distress oxide colors to watercolor this piece as the chalky tones to these colors compliment the soft grey very well. I varied to intensity of the colors throughout the design.

Once the panel was dried, I adhered my grey rectangle to the center with foam tape. Then, adhered the whole thing onto a white A2 landscape base.

So Glad I Found You with Keeway

Hi there! It's Keeway and I'm so glad you're here with me today because I have the cutest alligators in love shared on this card.  In our recent July Release, we introduced the new set Later Alligator. This adorable set had the cutest little reptiles, and I borrowed those alligators create a little romantic card by combining a few different sets.

I stamped the alligators from the set Later Alligator, and the heart from the set Floral Heart. The images were stamped in dark brown hybrid ink and colored with copic markers. Then I used the coordinating Nice and Neat dies to die cut the images out.

I created a simple layout and simply created a radial ink blend of Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks. This was to add a focal point and a little bit of a dreamy feel to the pair. I splattered with the same inks. Then, I selected a sentiment from the A-mazing stamp set which I also stamped in the same dark brown hybrid ink.

And finally,  I adhered the floral heart and then alligators to my card with foam tape. It just looks like the left alligator is running towards his love for a nice big hug! Thanks for joining me today and hope to "see" you again soon!

The Greatest Treasure with Keeway

Hi there! It's Keeway here and I'm sharing a simple and sweet card with you today featuring the Yo Ho Ho stamp set. I love to reach for some older sets in my stash to remind everyone how much fun they are to play with!

The Yo Ho Ho stamp set is one of my favorites! I stamped the pirate girl, cat, and fish bowl in dark brown hybrid ink and colored the images with copic markers. Then I die cut the images out with the coordinating Nice and Neat dies.

I used a simple stitched rounded rectangle frame that I die cut out of smooth white card stock. I blended Shaded Lilac and Worn Lipstick distress oxide inks with the inner piece. I heat embossed my sentiment in the top right area in silver detail embossing powder.

I inlaid the blended background back into its stitched frame and adhered it in the center of a piece of pattern paper. Then I adhered my characters to the card with foam tape. And that finishes the card! Thanks for joining me today and see you next time!

You're the Prettiest Portrait with Keeway

Hi friends! It's Keeway chiming in today to bring you a rainbow full of happiness to your day!

The latest release has got me all inspired to use tons of color and lots of rainbow goodness to my card today. I have stamped the little girl and the portrait on her painting from the Paint Night stamp set in hybrid ink, and colored them with copic markers. I then die cut the image out with the coordinating dies.

For my background, I created a rainbow ink blended frame using Candied Apple, Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio, and Squeezed Lemonade distress oxide inks. I gave it a spritz of water and also some colored ink splatter.

I stamped the the sentiment onto the background and colored in the the outlined 'prettiest' in alternating colors matching my ink blended background. I finished the card by adding the girl with foam tape. Hope I sent some colorful inspiration your way!

Happy Happy Cardmaking with Keeway

Hi there! It's Keeway joining with you today in a happy, happy cardmaking session to make a fun birthday card! If there's any card I send out the most, it's birthday cards, so I definitely like to keep the stocked at all times. In our recent April Release, these adorable elephants in the Mommy, Daddy, and Me set, are not only great for your mother's and father's day cards, but can easily be transformed for any other occasion. Today, I'll be using them to create a fun birthday card.

I always start by stamping my images in hybrid ink (copic friendly) and coloring them up with copic markers. Then, I die cut them with the coordinating dies and set them aside. My elephants are from the Mommy, Daddy, and Me set, and the balloon came frrom the Little Monster set.

For my background, I wanted to create a celebratory feel, so what better than to fill it up with balloons! I used the Balloon Duo Simply Stencils to create this balloon filled background by blending on Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves distress oxide inks. With some masking using post-it tape, I also blended Hickory Smoke for the ground. 

I die cut the background out of an A2-sized frame.

Then, I grabbed a birthday sentiment from the So Many Sentiments stamp set and heat embossed it in white onto black cardstock. I used the fishtail die from the Classic Tag 2 die set to die cut the sentiment out. Finally, I adhered all the various pieces to the blended background with foam tape. All done! Have a happy, happy day!

Eggstra Special with Keeway

Hi crafty friends! It's Keeway here today to share a little shaker card Spring inspiration with you! I love digging through my stash to remind me of the all the older sets, and the one that caught my attention was the mini stamp set Eggstra Special. I love this little chick!

I stamped him and the egg in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

One thing I accidentally discovered as I was working on the March release projects was that the leftover zig zag pieces from using the Square and Chevrons Cover Plate come in handy in creating patterns in the background, as used in one of my March release cards. But it also gave me ideas of using it to create a large egg with a zig zag design! This can be done with a large oval shaped die, which I used on an A2 sized white card for start. Then I used it again over the two zig zag strips such that I can inlay it in the oval.

My background is blended with Worn Lipstick and Wild Honey distress oxide inks. I heat embossed my sentiment from the same Eggstra Special stamp set in silver. And I filled the shaker up with the Light and Luminous Sequin Mix. I just adore this mix!

I always love it when I can integrate some excess pieces from previous projects! Hope this gives you a little inspiration to check those scraps before they make it to the trash can. Have a lovely week!

Moving Wagon with Keeway

Hey there! It's Keeway and sweet card to share with you featuring a combination of several of are darling stamp sets. I especially loved all the different accessories that came from the Ride With Me set and wanted to work in other sets to create a card to send when you 've moved!

I started by stamping images the packed wagon from Ride With Me, the fox from Schoolhouse, and the mouse from Holiday Baking in dark brown hybrid ink and colored them all with copic markers. I then die cut all the images with the coordinating dies for Ride With Me, Schoolhouse, and Holiday Baking.

For my background, I blended Faded Jeansw, Broken China, and Antique Linen distress oxide inks. I stamped the sentiment 'We've Moved' from the Welcome Home stamp set in Versmark ink and heat embossed it in white. While I was browsing through stamps, I noticed that the speech bubble from Square Thoughts fits perfectly around this sentiment! So I stamped it around my sentiment in white pigment ink and then die cut the frame out. I offset it and adhered it to my card with foam tape.

Everything just came together in the making of this card, all from the fact that I just loved that little wagon carrying the lamp, plant, and moving box. Thanks for joining me and have a wonderful day!

Hello Dear Friends, happy to join this fun collaboration today, and to see you here. 

I've wanted to try out gilding flakes for some time. SO, when I've got a chance, I came up with to backgrounds and two cards.

I free painted a heart for one and just scribbled for another one with a Nuvo Glue Pen. Combined with Gilding Flakes in Gold they became a perfect background for my projects. You probably know how much I love gold accents...

Look at all the shine...

I used the Geometric Circles cover plate to make two flowers for one, and I used just a part of the die-cut cover plate for the other. Love from the Love Notes die took a central part as a sentiment.

Next is Keeway:

Hi! Its Keeway and I made a fun AWESOME card for our collaboration with Tonic Studios. I personally use several of Tonic products including their embossing paste, embossing powders, and their stamping platform in so many of my projects frequently, but this is my first time trying out the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and I have to say I absolutely LOVE it!

I knew that I wanted to use something out of our stencil collection, so I picked one of my all-time favorites, the Geometric Blooms, to work with. I started my project by blending a bright and warm background with Candied Apple and Spiced Marmalade oxide inks. Then, I laid my stencil on top of my blended background and spread the Mother of Pearl mousse with a palette knife. I made sure the mousse filled out the open areas from the bottom but gradually lessened the amount the mouse as I worked upwards. 

The mousse was so easy to work with! The hardest part was letting it sit and dry since I was so eager to complete the project. But, I was patient, and I came back to my project in less than 30 min. For my sentiment I heat embossed a sentiment picked out of the So Many Sentiments stamp set in white onto a peach/pink card stock I found in my scrapbox. Then I replaced the word 'awesome' in the sentiment with the large die cut 'Awesome'. I die cut the word 4 times, and the backing once out of red card stock. The strong colors really bring out the word even with such a shiny and bright background. Hope you have an awesome day!

Hooray! to a Koality Friend with Keeway

Hi friends! It's Keeway and today I'm here to share a birthday card packed full of cute critters! I absolutely adore the koala from the recently Koalifications stamp set and of course I needed to send him over some friends too. So, I picked up a few other buddies from the Wild Ones stamp set so that we can parrrr-taay!

I stamped all of my images in a dark brown hybrid ink, and then colored them with copic markers. I used my handy white gel pen to add some details on the images. Then, I die cut all of them with their coordinating Nice and Neat dies.

With so many critters on the card, I kept the background pretty simple by blending some Broken China distress oxide ink from the edges in, leaving the majority of the center white. Then, with the Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink, I stamped the large 'hooray' from the Hooray mini stamp set in the top right, which easily fills up all the remaining open space. I used my handy white gel pen again to add little detailing to match what I did for the critters.

Now that everything is all colored up, it's time to adhere everything together. I used some thin foam squares and my regular foam tape to vary the depth of the images. For example, the koala sits behind the turtle, so I used the thin squares on the koala, and my regular foam tape which is just a tad thicker on the turtle. Isn't it sweet that the koala in the scene finishes the sentiment? Love that guy!

Special Delivery Just for You with Keeway

Hello, it's Keeway here! I hope all your Christmas cardmaking are done, or almost done, cause today I've decided to divert my project inspiration towards something more for the everyday snail mail. I mixed and matched quite a few stamp sets today, including Sweet Treat Sentiments, Schoolhouse, and Little Stinker.

I dug up an old set called Little Stinker and started building my card around this adorable skunk. I stamped and colored him with copic markers and die cut him out with the coordinating Nice and Neat dies. Since he's holding an envelope, I wanted to continue the theme of sending and receiving handmade cards, and thought it would be perfect to pair it up with the Schoolhouse stamp set, which has the images with the large pencil and the little mouse holding it up. I colored these with copic markers and die cut them out with coordinating Nice and Neat dies.

I went with a simple window like layout, having the skunk and mouse sit in separate squares, that I had die cut out of my black cardstock. On bristol paper for the underlying layer, I did some ink blending with Festive Berries distress ink, using washi tape for masking so that I get the upward directional blend for each square.

I found the Sweet Treats Sentiments to have the perfect "sending" theme sentiments with "Special Delivery" and "Just for You" that were stamped in the remaining square windows. And finally I assembled it all with foam tape.
