Welcome back everyone! I hope you are all safe and healthy. Today I'm sharing a card using Grateful Heart stamp set from Neat & Tangled and Karin Brushmarkers.
I've used this stamp set many times since it was released. It is such a great image to practice my watercoloring. I stamped the image in clear ink onto Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper and heat embossed with Gilded Embossing Powder.
I taped my panel down to a wooden cutting board with blue painters tape to minimize warping.
I'm always fiddling to practice my watercoloring. There are numerous mediums you could use for this. I'm using the Karin Brush Markers. My intent was a soft pink color but I rarely achieve what I'm attempting. I used the colors Neon Canary, Grass 253, Rose Pink 168, and Skin1 - 200. I probably had achieved a pink result if I would have left the image alone but I went back and added bits of the Neon Canary which gave me an end result of more of an orange.
I'm still happy with how it turned. Once the watercolor was dry, I used the coordinating die to cut it out. I layered a peice of Gold Rush cardstock on top of a white A2 size panel. I added the floral image with a tape runner and my heat embossed sentiment is popped up with foam squares.
Moral of the story: Always keep practicing!
