Quick and simple one layer Christmas cards (using non-christmas stamps)

Hello crafty peeps,

it's Christine.
I have 3 types of quick and easy Christmas cards to share. I guess you all know them:

Many people start mass-producing cards for Christmas, so I thought I'd share three one layer cards that can easily be mass-produced.. They're all quick and easy, but some are even quicker that others ;) And the best thing: You don't even need any Christmas stamps for the following projects:

Type 1: "There's plenty of time left, so I'll mix some techniques"

Ink your On the corner die with Versamark before you place it on your cardbase and run it through your die-cut-machine
Remove the die and sprinkle on some glittery embossing powder to accentuate the cut frame. Heat emboss.
Stamp the sentiment from on the corder additions.
Add some sequins (Birthday Bash Mix) and gems
stick some washi tape to the bottom of the card
round the top corners.

Type 2: "November already, let's do something less time consuming"

Stamp and emboss your sentiment from Sparkle and Shine in White
Also stamp and emboss the Circle from Sparkle and Shine and the circle from Creepy Cute
color the circles with watercolor.
remove color from white embossed areas.
color gems in matching colours using Markers (Copic for example) and add them.

Type 3: "Oh gosh! December 18th already and I still need a bunch of cards. it MUST be simple!"

stamp the Time Warp background in gold ink (I uses Brilliance)
Stamp a star from Photo Booth and the Sentiment from Sparkle and Shine and gold emboss both.
Round the corners.

That's how it works, right? ;)

Hi everyone! This is Yana and today I have a fun scenic card to share with you. After Neat & Tangled releaser their first dies, those being the On the Corner and A lot to Say I immediately started playing with them.

I have already shared my first cards with you here and today I wanted to show you another card that I made using the new die. I also used a ton of stamps from Neat & Tangled and created a scene behind my street sign.

New Design Team Member: Amy Tsuruta!

Hello friends!

You may or may not remember back in February we switched up the design team a bit! Things will continue to shift a little over the next few months ;)

One of the new changes is the addition of Amy Tsuruta as a new design team member! I am so excited to have her joining us :) She was a wonderful member of the Little Tangles DT, and I couldn't be happier to have her move over to the Neat and Tangled team! Here is a little about Amy and a card she made for today:

Hi, It's Amy! I'm so excited to be part of the Neat & Tangled Design Team! I live in the beautiful state of Washington. I'm the proud mother of two wonderful kids and am engaged to "thee most spectacular guy" who supports my crafting obsession. I work part time in the biotech industry and have been blogging since 2007. I absolutely love being part of this crafting community!!

You Are...

on the corner, on the edge, Party Dots 1.29.2014

Hello!
Chari here today with a card using On the Corner…but not so much on a corner. :) As I've said before I like to challenge myself to think of ways to use stamp sets in new ways other than the obvious. So that's just what I did with todays card.

I started with Neenah solar white card stock and colored all my pieces with distress ink and blending tools. You could use colored card stock but this is just another way to make your own pieces of colored paper. I inked pieces with peacock feathers, worn lipstick, scattered straw and dried marigold. I stamped my text with versa fine black ink for a sharp, crisp image. The black border stamp is from On the Edge and the bubbles are from Party Dots. I mounted the banners with thin foam squares and the panel along the top with thicker foam squares to create different heights for my elements. Hope you enjoyed this idea about another way to use your On the Corner stamp set. Have a great day!

Hello friends! Danielle here for a super fun blog hop to kick off your week! Today I am joined by Miriam Prantner and lots of awesomely talented friends to showcase the first set Miriam has designed for Neat and Tangled, On the Corner (which is now back in stock!).

And here is my card!

I kept with my usual CAS style. I stamped On the Edge in gold (which looks more yellow in the picture, apologies!), and then layered some paper and vellum. I stamped and paper pieced the street sign and added some enamel dots and called it an afternoon!

I adhered the pole portion of the sign, but not the signs themselves. I bent them up a bit to add some fun dimension!

Today is special because not only am I introducing a new stamp set, I am also introducing a new stamp designer! Please say hello to Miriam Prantner!

My name is Miriam Prantner. I've been married to my husband Andrew for 12+ years. We have two daughters Ellie (6) and Carina (3) and a beagle named Geronimo. I've been crafting ever since I can remember, but only started making cards and stamping a few years ago. About a year ago I took a stamp carving class, and while I was carving came up with the idea for On the Corner of. If for no other reason, I wanted to get it produced so that I could have a set of my own. After showing my drawings to some friends, they encouraged me to go for it and see if I could have it made. I have to thank Danielle for really believing in me and this idea. Neat and Tangled was the first company I approached with my very rough sketches last year. The timing wasn't right back then, but we stayed in touch, and I'm so happy that my designs are now part of the Neat and Tangled family. I hope that you love On the Corner of as much as I do. There's more to come!
