Welcome Our February Guest Designer - Mindy Baxter!

Hi! I'm Mindy and the owner of MyCreativeScoop.com. My favorite part of the whole creating process is coloring and watching that cute little image pop off the page and just come to life. I love to color and teach people how to color with Copic Markers. I am from Southern California and also have 3 kids, 19, 15 and 11 and have been with my hubby for over 21 years. I'm super excited about this year and what I'll be creating and sharing with you all!

Today I'm sharing a card using this super adorable Koala from the Koalifications Stamps Set.
I had so much fun coloring this little guy and adding all fur texture and I wanted to show you just how I did that so I have a Copic Tutorial below. :)

I stamped my image in Memento Desert Sand Ink (so I can get that no line look) and I stamped onto my Copic Xpress it Blending Card. Then, I used my Copic Markers to color this cutie and used my Koalifications Nice and Neat Die to cut him out.

I hope you found this coloring tutorial helpful.

If you are looking for more Copic Tutorials you can find more on my site MyCreativeScoop.com and I'm also doing monthly coloring tutorials on Neat and Tangled's YouTube Channel so make sure you're subscribed!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Distress Oxide Love Notes

Hi there! It's Cheiron here with my monthly post and today I am going to share some quick and easy Valentine cards that I made with Distress Oxide Backgrounds. I am a big believer that Valentine's cards do not have to be pink and red...I have a few few friends who call teal and purple their favorite color. So today, I have made Valentine cards for all of them with some quick and easy Distress Oxide backgrounds and the Love Notes stamp set. I started with the color parings you see below (all ink colors and supplies are listed at the bottom of this post).

I used a few of my favorite color combos of Distress Oxides, and smooshed them onto my non-stick craft sheet and sprayed them with water. I built up layers of color and dried the layers with a heat tool in between.

Once my layers were dry, I stamped the Falling Hearts stamp on the top of each panel twice using the darker Distress Oxide color from each pair.

Using a stamp platform and Jet Black Archival Ink, I stamped the word love onto each panel. The platform makes it super easy to create multiples!

Here's what they look like all stamped :)  Once they were done, I also used the stamp platform to stamp the other part of the sentiment in matching archival inks, and added a few sequins to each. These cards are a bit different than the usual Valentines that I send out, but I love the artsy feel of them and how easy they are to put together once the backgrounds are made.

Stamp Highlighting: Floral Heart with Kelly Latevola

Hello Crafters!

It's Kelly here and I'm so excited to be sharing my first post for Neat and Tangled!

Please join me in a small parade in which we will throw confetti and dance around in a little circle.

Exciting huh?
That was the most exercise I've had all week :/

Speaking of exciting during release week Daria shared this adorable card where she stamped the floral heart multiple times and then popped her sentiment with a gorgeous color and some glitter.

I loved layout so much. I thought it would be a great way to really highlight one stamp so that's what I did today.

I love the way stamping in the lighter inks really makes the focal point special.

You can see the entire card from start to finish in the video below
This is actually a pretty sure video for me I'm a little proud of myself ha!

I can't believe how much adding those final details really changes the look of the card. I know sometimes it seems like an unnecessary step but give it a try sometime :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today to visit me today!

xoxo

You + Me Valentine's Day Card and a video

Hello everyone! This Yana sharing a very simple and easy to do Valentine's Day card. You will only need a few very basic supplies for this including a You + Me stamp set from Neat & Tangled

To create these cards I used a few colours of ColorBox pigment inks from ClearSnap, some Martha Stewart glitter and of course my favourite stamps from Neat & Tangled!

Awesome Together. A pink + black valentine

Everyone seems to be going crazy about chalkboard and to tell the truth I'm no exception. Thus sharing a pink plus black (and a little white) valentine card.

I used the Sunburst stamp for the chalkboard background. I wanted to get a really messy look for this card so I used an old embossing inkpad with almost no ink inside. I really like the way it turned out.

For the little hearts I picked the You + Me stamp set and heat embossed a few on pink ombre paper from My Mind's Eye.

Finally I heat embossed the "awesome together" sentiment on a chipboard arrow from Blue Fern Studios. Added a little peg and a few sequins and my card was done!

Happy Valentine's Day!
xoxo,
 Yana
