Eggstra special with Elena

Hi there!

Elena here, with a card that's a little... eggstra:

I started out by stamping the main bunny-and-egg image from Eggciting 2 times. I kept one intact, but cut the egg away from the bunny for the 2nd. It takes the 2 bunnies to haul this giant egg!

I paper-pieced the egg-wrapper for a different look, stamping the image onto floral patterned paper, trimming out that section, and over-laying it onto the die-cut egg.

The sentiment was borrowed from an older set that I illustrated, Eggstra Special. That egg is definitely a little extra!

For one final touch, I brought in the butterfly and dotted trail line from All The Bunnies.  I love how it connects the sentiment to the large egg.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Eggstra Special with Keeway

Hi crafty friends! It's Keeway here today to share a little shaker card Spring inspiration with you! I love digging through my stash to remind me of the all the older sets, and the one that caught my attention was the mini stamp set Eggstra Special. I love this little chick!

I stamped him and the egg in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

One thing I accidentally discovered as I was working on the March release projects was that the leftover zig zag pieces from using the Square and Chevrons Cover Plate come in handy in creating patterns in the background, as used in one of my March release cards. But it also gave me ideas of using it to create a large egg with a zig zag design! This can be done with a large oval shaped die, which I used on an A2 sized white card for start. Then I used it again over the two zig zag strips such that I can inlay it in the oval.

My background is blended with Worn Lipstick and Wild Honey distress oxide inks. I heat embossed my sentiment from the same Eggstra Special stamp set in silver. And I filled the shaker up with the Light and Luminous Sequin Mix. I just adore this mix!

I always love it when I can integrate some excess pieces from previous projects! Hope this gives you a little inspiration to check those scraps before they make it to the trash can. Have a lovely week!

Eggstra Special With Debby Hughes

Hi Debby here today and I couldn't resist getting the cute chick from the Eggstra Special set inked up. I know we are past Easter now but I think this card could pass for all year round, don't you? He's so cute after all!

I stamped the chick on Neenah Solar White card and die cut with the matching die before colouring with Copics.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Eggstra Special sentiment in Rose Apple ink on a panel of white card, foam mounted the chick above along with a speech bubble with the 'hey chickie' from Cottontail Cuties stamped in Versafine Onyx Black

I added the panel to patterned paper and then on to a Fog card base. Finally a little embellishment with some Nuvo Jewel Drops and this clean and simple card was done.

Thanks for joining me today and I'll see you next time.

Tiny Cuts with Nancy Damiano

Hey everyone, Nancy here with a closer look at the new Tiny Cuts die. I love this die for creating borders around my cards but I wanted to do something a little different. What if I ran the die across a card to create a punched out background? This is the result!

I lined up the dies 5 at a time and ran them through my Big Shot and repeated the process a few times to cut through the entire card. I backed the punched out card with a watercolored patterned paper for a peek of pink.

I wanted the background to shine, so just two images from the Eggstra Special and Cottontail Cuties stamp sets. A script title cut with the Celebrate die and covered with ink blending anchored with a vellum flag provides a simple and colorful title. A few scattered sequins from the Spring Mix complete the card!

Eggstra Special Valentine!

Hi there, Cheiron here wishing you a very Happy Valentine's Day. I have a super sweet Valentine for you today featuring the Eggstra Special set. This little chick is so adorable, I had to make him into a Valentine with a sweet little chocolate egg.

This card was super simple to make...just a bit of stamping, coloring and die cutting. I accessorized this cute fella with a bowtie and a tiny bloom from the Cottontail Cuties set. I love how the images in both of these sets work together! To finish up the card, I added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella pen over the top of that chocolatey egg.

Thanks for stopping by!
