Neat and Tangled Sponsoring CAS-ual Fridays!

Happy Friday!!

Some fun news, Neat and Tangled is sponsoring this week's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge! The challenge is black and white plus one color!

I used the little bee from Fresh Blooms, and just white heat embossed her on black cardstock, it really pops! For my color I used one of my favorite pieces of flair from {a flair for buttons}. It's from the Hexagon Boys set. Shelley's buttons are now available at Two Peas!! How awesome is that!  I thought this particular flair was perfect since it looks like a honeycomb! I left off a sentiment because I am always in need of non-specific cards just to send little notes :)

Favorite Flower

I haven't played along in any challenges for a while, so I decided to join in two this week.  I'm putting this card in over at The Playdate Cafe and CAS-ual Fridays.  I loved both the colors and the layout so it wasn't too hard.

The flower was white heat embossed and paper pieced. I then inked the edges a little to make it pop.  Stamped the background and sentiment and ta-da! Luckily it's hard to go wrong with these stamps.

In other news, I have 4 pages of my December Daily complete, plus some embellishments, journal cards, tags and envelopes.  Gee only 27 more pages to go! Seeing as how I only have 2 days until December I don't know if they will all get done ahead of time, I'll do my best. I figure if I can get 12 days done before December starts I'll be okay, I'll just keep working on others through the month.

The kids decided that it would be fun to start our day at 5 am. Needless to say, I am off to take a nap!

Feelin' Loopy

Hey Friends!

The blog posting is probably going to slow down a little for the next two weeks, as I'm trying to stock pile some cards to share once the baby is here. I know I won't have much time for crafting once he arrives, but I have tons of ideas and new products I want to try so I've been crafting like a mad woman.

I do plan to continue to participate in my favorite challenges, as they always keep me on my toes!  So here is a little one I made for the current CAS-ual Friday's Challenge. It's super CAS, and I really love it. I'm also going to put it in over at Lawn Fawn for their WCMD Challenge.

If you haven't gotten PTI's new Autumn Rose color cardstock (buttons, ribbon, anything!) you really should. It looks a little darker in my photo (as it's currently cloudy out). It is simply gorgeous and goes with sooooo many colors. Check my supplies below for the link.

A CAS-ual Mini Card

Glad to play along over at CAS-ual Fridays again. This week's challenge was to make a mini card.

I had gotten these Hero Arts stamps about a month ago, and had yet to use them. I added in a little bit of Lawn Fawn too for some fun touches. I'm in the process of making 2 more mini cards to complete a little set. I clear embossed the envelope pattern over the moon, and then used Distress Inks for some blending.  I also black heat embossed the cat to make it shiny and add some texture. The finished size is 4x4.

Things are very busy over here, as I am preparing for G's 2nd birthday party this weekend. I'm keeping things to a minimum and only making the cupcakes, unlike last year when I went crazy and did everything from cakes to decorations and favors.  Hard to believe it's already been 2 years :o( Where does the time go?
