Lovely Lotus - Emboss Resist

Welcome back everyone! Mindy Eggen here with you today and I'm excited to share a card I created using the Lovely Lotus stamp set.

I have a video that you view down below or HERE on my Youtube Channel.

This Lovely Lotus stamp set is a gorgeous 6" x 8" stamp set filled with beautiful flowers and leaves. This also has some amazing sentiments on it.

I started my card by stamping my images onto Bristol Smooth card stock with Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink using my Misti tool. Then I sprinkled on White Satin Pearl Embossing powder and heated with my heat gun.

Next, I ink blended Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide onto the flowers. I used Evergreen Bough and Shabby Shutters on the leaves which is an amazingly awesome combination. Then I used a clean cloth to wipe away the excess ink from the heat embossed area which really makes the pearlescent sheen shine through. I used the coordinating die to cut out my images for a nice clean edge.

For my background, I'm using a piece of Black card stock and attaching the Rice Paddies stencil using Purple Tape. Then stenciled on Pumice Stone Distress Oxide. I attached my flowers and leaves towards the bottom of the card using a tape runner, making sure my flowers were higher then the leaves.

I finished off my adding my sentiment. I die cut a piece of white card stock from the Skinny Strips die and stamped the sentiment in black ink. This is such an encouraging sentiment. Then added this strip to my card front with foam tape. I also added a few sequins around the flowers with my jewel picker and liquid glue. Then topped it off with Unicorn Stickles.

Neat & Tangled is also having a March Madness sale right now ! Be sure to head over to the website to check it out! Some of my favorite sets are in the sale category!
