So Distressed

Rarely can I make a card without touching my Distress Inks.  Me + Distress Inks = BFF. 9 times out of 10 it shows up somewhere on my card.
When I saw that the challenge over at Lawnscapings was to distress I knew I had to participate.

I had this idea floating around in my head for a while.  I'm very much in the mood for Fall. While I love Summer and all things that come with it (pool, beach, cookouts, etc.), I am ready for some cooler weather and the arrival of baby #2.  So here is my first Halloween card for 2011.

I made the purple card background and yellow/orange moon entirely with Distress Inks (starting with white cardstock, several distress inks, and doing lots of blending). To give them a little 'something' I used my Mini Mister and spritzed them with water.  Also, for the purple I took the little star from Lawn Fawn's Plus One set, dipped it in water and stamped on the distress inks over and over.  Distress inks work well with water.

Hope you enjoy!  Our construction friends should be here within the hour, so I better get dressed. They said the 'messiest' part of this remodel was done...I don't think I can handle coming home another day with my kitchen and dining room covered in dust. On the plus side, the house is the cleanest it's ever been since I've pretty much had to clean it top to bottom for the past few days after they leave.

  11. Danielle, Thanks for letting me know both here and on my blog. I have been looking at all of the different colors of distress inks and trying to decide on a good yellow and orange. Now I know which ones to add to my shopping list!
