Hi, Debby here and boy is this Neat & Tangled blog buzzing with all the new release! Such a treat for the eyes! Well, as a little break in service from all the new gorgeousness, my last guest post for the month using the previously released, but still so fabulous, You + Me set :) Such a great clean and graphic set and yet I wanted to continue my current love of water colouring and go soft and loose. Firstly I clear heat embossed the little line heart image onto watercolor card and then inked the solid image from the set with Distress Ink, spritzed well with water and stamped over the heart. For the sentiment is heat embossed in the gloriously glittery platinum sparkle embossing powder.
To embellish I squeezed a few puddles of platinum glitter glue here and there, a sprinkling of sequins and a little white thread behind the sentiment. I'd like to thank Danielle for inviting me over to N&T, I've had a ball!
Supplies: Stamps - Neat & Tangled you + me; Ink - Versamark, Distress Ink worn lipstick; Card - Tim Holtz distress watercolor card, Simon Says Stamp fog; Embossing Powder Wow platinum sparkle; Ranger platinum glitter glue; Sequins; White Thread

May Guest Designer: Laura Bassen

Hi friends! I'm here today with another post from our amazing guest designer, Laura Bassen!

Hi there! Laura here, and I've got a couple more Neat & Tangled projects to share. For my first card I used the thin stripe from the Across the Card set. I'm in love with this ultra thin stripe and by using the stamp's backing as a guide, it was super simple to line up and get consistent spacing over and over again. The sentiment is from the Sparkle and Shine set.
For my next project, I was determined to use some of those delicious sequins. I made a tiny little shaker card. This card only measures 3x3" and could easily be made into a cute little tag. The sentiment is from Sketchy Cupcakes. If you are new to making shaker cards, like I was, here's a good tutorial: http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/2009/06/how-to-make-a-shaker-card-video-tutorial.html
Thanks so much for having my Danielle! I've had a blast playing with your stamps and sequins♥

May Guest Designer: Laura Bassen + May Sneak Peek!

Hello friends!

Danielle here with a little post to introduce our May guest designer, Laura Bassen from Doublestick Heaven! I had the  pleasure of meeting her in person a little while back at a crafty retreat and she is just too sweet.
Laura and Me

Here is a little about Laura:

Hi there! Laura Bassen here. I live in Pekin, Illinois with my husband and our five kiddos. I'm so excited to be joining Neat & Tangled as a guest designer for the month of May. I had the pleasure of meeting Danielle at a crafty retreat this past April and let me just say, she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She sent me some awesome stamps to play with, but the icing on the cake was her coveted little baggie of sequins. They are just divine! I can't wait to share with you the new releases for May.

And don't forget our May Release starts tomorrow at 8am EST! We will be revealing 3 new stamp sets and 4 new sequin colors! :) There is a little peek of the sets below  See you then!

xo
