Little Tangles Challenge

Hello friends! Danielle here. The next challenge at Little Tangles, our challenge blog, begins today! This time we are using the design team as inspiration! I'm so lucky I got asked to play along and used Heather Ruwe as my inspiration!
Here is the card by Heather that I used as my inspiration.  I love how clean, simple, and graphic this card is! And the pop of red just sets it all off!
I decided to use the free Pumpkin Everything digital stamp which can be found HERE. Truth be told, we are in the middle of moving AGAIN and all of my stamps, ink, paper are packed in a box until I can get to them this weekend.  So I did some digital stamping and coloring and created this fun card! Thank goodness for digital stamps!
I do hope you'll play along! I love seeing you use Neat and Tangled! As always a free stamp set is up for grabs!

mini card challenge!

Hey all, it's Amy T here!  I'm super excited to be officially on the Neat & Tangled team!

I thought it would be fun to play along with the little tangles challenge:

This trio of cards all have a base of 4.25 x 4.25 inches.

I love the combo of color and patterns.  A great way to combine them is to use heat embossing.  Ordinarily with a navy background, using white or black heat embossing would not make the impact that this Paper Source Picante Embossing Powder does!

I've always been a fan of Danielle's swirly sentiments:

These are the Neat & Tangled stamps I used in today's mini trio:

If you find that one of the Neat & Tangled sets is Sold Out....be sure to click on the "E-Mail Me when available".

Thanks for stoppin' by!

Now for my card! I paired the little cupcake from Sketchy Cupcakes with a NEW sentiment from a set that will be released in September ;) I had a little fun with a white gel pen doing some sketch marks and faux stitching, then added gold sequins to finish it off.
Happy Birthday!

ONE(1) commenter from the hop will win the ENTIRE first year collection of Neat and Tangled Stamps*

Birthday Bash Party Crasher: Virginia Lu!

Hello friends! We've got another party crasher this week! It's okay though because we LOVE Virginia Lu, and she's always welcome :)

And boy has she got some projects for you! Check out how she pulled together a birthday party ensemble using primarily NON-birthday sets!

First of all, she has some card for you. The gold embossed flowers from Fresh Blooms paired with some alcohol inks are simply stunning. And don't forget the sequins!

And how about the gold embossing of Party Dots with those beautiful Hero Arts inks?

If you're going to have a party you will need some invitations and Virginia has made some beautiful invites to match those cards. Love how she used Little Tangles here!

And how about a sweet little utensil holder using the sweet cottage from Sweet Home!

And here it is all put together

Thank you so much, Virginia, for crashing our party! :)

Dressing up die cuts

Hello and TGIF friends!

Die cutting is a fun way to add interest to your paper projects, but sometimes plain paper cuts just need a little extra something.  Earlier the week, I needed to make a birthday card for my daughter's friend and nothing says Happy Summer Birthday like ice cream.  So I turned to my trusty Silhouette and die cut a cone and some scoops of ice cream.

Although the cuts look yummy, I still felt they were a bit boring, so I turned to my Neat and Tangled stamps: Sketchy Cupcakes and Little Tangles and added some sprinkles, swirls, and smiley faces.

From there, I assembled the card. I adhered the scoops and cone to an embossed panel of dark brown cardstock with foam tape.  I stamped the word bubble and sentiment, also from Sketchy Cupcakes onto white cardstock, trimmed and adhered to the card.  I am no artist, but I also drew a little tongue on the orange scoop of ice cream for a little whimsy.

Just think of all the fun ways you can use your stamps to dress up your die cuts!  That's all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hey, Girlfriend!

Hey Girlfriends ;) Danielle here.

I first wanted to thank you all for your tremendous support and excitement during last week's release! Your positivity is contagious, and while I can't respond to all comments I do read each and every one, and they always bring a smile to my face.

I apologize for the speed at which certain items sold out. I do my best to anticipate how popular particular items will be and stock accordingly, but every now and then I underestimate!  I have already placed a reorder for stamps. In the meantime please check with our friends at Simon Says Stamp as well as i {heart} papers, both carry a variety of Neat and Tangled now! All sequins will be restocked by weeks end!

How was your weekend? Ours flew by as usual. For all you mommies out there, I hope you enjoyed your special day!

I'm here to share a card I made a reeeeally long time ago for a publication call, but alas it was a reject! So now I get to share it with you all.  The colors and scallop pattern from the stamp remind me of the ocean, and now that the weather is warming I hear the beach calling :)
Hey Girlfriend
I stamped and white heat embossed the scallop pattern from Little Tangles on various colors of Hero Arts papers, cut them out, and adhered them to my card base. I then stamped the sentiment from Just Hello on a strip and popped it up on the card with some foam dimensional.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi friends! Danielle here with a quick post to share a card :)

The current challenge over at Little Tangles is love, so I made a card to play along using this new free Neat and Tangled digital stamp.

Do not fear the digi stamp! This one is super easy to use. I opened it in Photoshop, and printed it. Um, that's pretty stinkin' easy. Oh, then I cut it out.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day filled with lots of love :) Don't forget to play along in the current Little Tangles Challenge, it ends this Sunday and a free stamp set is up for grabs!

Holiday Thank You Cards

_DSC0003

Hi everyone! It's Suzanne here... Are you ready for the New Year? I sure am, but before we say farewell to 2012 I thought I should make some thank you cards for all of the generous and kind people that touched me in some way during the holidays.

I wanted to keep my card pretty simple and graphic, so I started by heat embossing the chevron pattern from Little Tangles in white onto kraft cardstock. Then I diecut the Studio Calico patterned papers and added the Basic Grey alpha stickers to the tag, along with some matching red brads and candy cane ribbon. Last, but not least, I decorated the inside with some matching patterned paper and a sentiment from Kindness Matters.

Have a wonderful New Year! I hope it brings you lots of time for crafting!

Suzanne
