Simple Stamped Thank You Card

Hello everyone. Koren here with a simple stamped thank you card. I was inspired to create this card after seeing a card from fellow designer Laura Bassen on Instagram. To see her beautiful card that inspired mine, (CLICK HERE!). I felt that her design was spot on. Of course I had to do it the hard way but it was fun and I love the way it turned out.

I started by loading the largest image from the Neat & Tangled Grateful Heart stamp set into my MISTI. I wanted to stamp this image multiple times using the same size card panel. Each panel was cut to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4. I stamped this image first on Neenah 110 lb. Solar White Classic Crest cardstock. I stamped it using Tailored Expressions Toffee ink. I felt that the toffee ink was the best color that matched my card base from my stash.

After the background was stamped, I could then stamp the rest of my flowers on several shades of green cardstock. This is where I did things the hard way. I could have more easily gotten a similar look, just as our inspiration card used, by using a watermark ink pad such as versa mark, I decided to use a different shade of green ink to coordinate with each piece of green cardstock used.

I used SU! Granny Apple Green cardstock with Taylored Expressions Granny Smith ink. I used Papertrey Ink's New Leaf cardstock and Tailored Expressions Peapod ink. I then used Papertrey ink's Pinefeather and Tailored Expressions Sweet Blush to finish it off.

I then lined up the different shades with the background panel and made marks on each panel of where to cut it. This did not turn out perfect but I still love the way it looks. Each piece is popped up onto the white background panel using Craft Perfect Foam Squares.

The back panel was then popped up onto the SU! Sahara Sand card base that was cut to size A2 and scored in a top folding orientation. I used white craft foam and Craft Perfect Tear Tape adhesive to adhere it together.

As for the sentiment, I stamped the "thank you" from the Neat & Tangled Grateful stamp set with Nuvo Clear Mark embossing powder. I stamped it onto a strip of the same sand colored cardstock I used Nuvo Hot Chocolate embossing powder to heat emboss the greeting. I cut down the sentiment with an angled banner end on one side, and popped it up into place on the card using the same foam squares.

To add a little more of an island flair, I reached into my stash and pulled out a few tropical charms to adhere to my project. I used Glue Dots to place them behind the sentiment strip.

I hope that I inspired you to create something today, even if you choose the hard way too.

Koren
