Hello friends!
After a little hiatus from new releases I am back! Please read carefully, as we have some changes this month!
As we mentioned in this blog post back in May, Elena and Miriam will no longer be illustrating for Neat and Tangled. But have no fear, I've got a talented new artist to share with you! Please give a very warm welcome to Robbie Bryant. Robbie is tattoo artist based in Delaware. So while he might not be familiar with stamping and paper crafts, he has an artist's eye for composition and design, paired with amazing illustration skills - making him a perfect fit for helping me bring new ideas to life while also offering a fresh perspective. You can check out his work on Instagram and Facebook, go give him a follow and say hello :) While you might not be looking for a tattoo, I've found tattoo artists to be a great source of inspiration for color and composition!
Another change is the size of each month's release. While new products each month are always exciting, I can't help but feel that large releases can be overwhelming, and often don't allow the design team, or you, to enjoy all the products fully. Going forward, each month's release will be smaller and more intentional. This will allow the design team to really showcase the curated products for the month in a variety of ways, and make it easy (especially with the discounted bundle option) for you to add to your Neat and Tangled collection without breaking the bank. I also hope it encourages you to really take time with just a handful of coordinating products - to really get creative and explore the endless options for use!
The last change is when products will be available during this release week - today, Monday, August 12th you get to see ALL of the August products in full and they are all available for purchase in the shop NOW!
And now, what you really want to see - all of the amazing creations from the design team! Click the photo to head to each of their blogs for details on their cards. Be sure to comment because one winner will be selected from the design team blog comments to win a $25 gift certificate!

ReplyDeleteVery cool to see a tatoo artist transfering his skills to stamping! Looking forward to the smaller releases...love your reasoning. Fav. flower is the rose.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous 'new start' you're embarking on with the changes/additions to the team! Smaller releases: YES, please! Today's showcases: gorgeous! My favourite flower is an aster; they remind me of my grandmother, who had not just a green thumb, but ten fingers of green! Oh, her gardens and flower beds...positively stunning!

ReplyDeleteFirst, welcome to Robbie!! 2nd, so happy for a small release each month as honestly, I always felt overwhelmed by all the new products! The flowers are pretty, of course … my favorite is either a lavender rose or the gardenia … for their heavenly scents. Ok, off to hop now. :-)
ReplyDeleteI shared the release on my FB page.

Thank you for implementing the release changes! I get paralyzed by huge releases and your idea of showcasing a few coordinating products is genius! My favorite flower is magnolia. They blossom all around me, smell heavenly, and their leaves are so glossy and gorgeous! Welocme to Robbie...excited to see what's in store!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Robbie!
ReplyDeleteGrateful Heart is a gorgeous stamp... beautiful DT inspirations.
So many favorite flowers, but I think roses is a classic.

ReplyDeleteFantastic release! I love that you're going to fewer new products per release! It is so hard to keep up with everything fantastic out there and as you said large releases make it so difficult to use everything and be creative. I am an email follower (skowbel[at]shaw[dot]ca) and my favourite flowers are roses and lilies - I can't just choose one :)
ReplyDeleteThe flower that is my fave would be Fuji Mum. I love your idea and reasoning behind a smaller and more intentional release. After checking out Robbie Bryant, I am excitedly eager to see his creations, and welcome him whole-heartedly. The creations of the DT for this release are highly beautiful and inspirational.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to see more from this new designer! And I love the idea of smaller releases to be able to see more from the design team for each stamp/product. Peonies are my favorite flower.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower is Peony. Love this release and the card ideas are so beautiful.

I am partial to African Violets. My grandma had a room full of them in her old farmhouse. She had two windows that got perfect light so her blooms could flourish. I love this new floral stamp and wish you all the best with your "makeover". Thanks for the inspiration and chance to win. :D
ReplyDeleteLove this new background stamp. My favorite flowers are hydrangeas.
