Do you love to create cards with dark backgrounds? I love to use dark colors of cardstock, dark patterned paper prints. I feel like those help whatever design I have on my card to pop and stand out. Do you feel the same?
Today I'm using a sheet of patterned paper from the 6x6 Bella Rouge Pad from Pink Paislee as a backdrop for my simple minimalistic Miss You card.
My all things gold obsession continues, although it has subsided a bit (if you compare it to a card I shared 2 weeks ago). I only used gold embossing powder for the stylish Origami Map image and I also added a shaped paper clip in gold from Freckled Fawn.
The map was cut out using a matching die on my Artisan X-plorer machine and I ended up using only a part of it for this project. I saved the Americas for another card.
I colored a few parts of the map using Copic markers, only used about 2 or 3 colors which I usually use to color skin. I think those complimented the gold embossing quite nicely.
So what do you think? It is a Yay or a Nay card? Let me now, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Such a wonderful card! I really love how it looks on the dark background!
