Simon Says Stamp

I sit here at 3:20am writing this blog post and eating spiced wafers.  I woke up around 1:30, starving, and am still waiting for sleep to return.  I laid in bed for about an hour, and then I remembered reading this article that said you shouldn't just lay in bed if you can't sleep. You should do something relaxing like reading or crocheting, until you feel sleepy. I imagine staring at the bright screen of my laptop isn't exactly 'relaxing', but I have blown through all my books and am currently not crocheting anything .  Oh well.

Simon Says Stamp is a vacuum for my husband's wallet.  I'm sure many of you feel my pain.  Needless to say, I just became aware of their challenges and decided to play along for this one.  The challenge this week is shaped cards.  I had to also make a thank you for our hostess from the beach, so figured I'd knock them both out at once!  Here's what I came up with

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend...can't believe it's already August!

Stamps: Flower Dot Pattern (Hero Arts), Just My Type, Too (Lawn Fawn)

  1. This is so adorable and functional since you'll use it for someone AND a challenge. Love that. I'm just hoping that you aren't crashing right now since you didn't get much sleep! Awesome CAS card!

  2. Super cute shaped card! I love that you let the patterned paper do the work for you. I need to do this more often. Good luck with the challenge!

  3. I'm dying over that Hero Arts background stamp....I must have it.

Also, don't feel bad about draining the husband's wallet. I'm the same way. Think of all the money we're saving making our own cards! Wait.....

  6. Simple design, but with the shaped outline . . . not simple at all! Is that Ocean Tides cardstock? It's beautiful!
