His & Her Holiday Cards with Nina-Marie

Hello crafty friends, it is Nina-Marie here with you today, sharing a set of cards that are perfect for that special him or her on your Christmas list this year!

Most card designs can be adapted to fit either a feminine or masculine feel, and this set is a great example of how simple that can be.

I love making shaker cards, and our Doily Tag die is a perfect window to put in front of an assortment of pretty sequins, don't you think? I started off by die cutting the tag from white cardstock and applied a piece of acetate behind it to be my window. I then cut small strips of foam tape to place around the outside edges of the doily tag die; this creates the shaker well for all the sequins I place inside.

The sequins I used for the shaker are from the Phosphorescence and Caribbean Dream mixes from Lucy's Cards, and also the Full of Love mix and Gold sequins from Neat & Tangled.

I popped the shaker up off of a white card base that I embossed with a faceted We R Memory Keepers
embossing folder; the texture on the white card adds the right amount of detail without being distracting.

On both cards I die cut the word "holidays" from white cardstock four times and adhered them together to be more dimensional. For some color and sparkle, I heat embossed them with silver and gold embossing powders from Tonic Studio's Nuvo product line. The holidays die cut and the coordinating sentiments are from Neat & Tangled's Happy Holidays stamp and die set.

To fit the two different genders, I used a red and pink color scheme for the feminine card and green and blue for the masculine version.

Finally, I used some Wink of Stella clear glitter and added it over top of the white card base... the extra shimmer is an optional detail but I think it really adds that perfect finish to the card.

I hope this has inspired you to see how easy it is to switch colors around on a card to make it fit for either a guy or a girl! Thanks so much for spending some time with me today and I will see you again very soon!

Neat & Tangled / We R Memory Keepers Finale

Hello everyone!  We hope you have enjoyed our weeklong We R Memory Keepers feature.  It's been a pleasure working with their line of DIY party products!  Today we are ending things in style, Sveta has prepared a bright and adorable party ensemble.  You are going to love it!

I'm so glad to join this unique and fun collaboration week of Neat & Tangled with WMRK!

I prepared something unusual for me: kids party decorations. As I do not have my own children yet, I invited my friend and she brought not only two lovely kids but very tasty cupcakes! Woohoo!

First, I made pinatas.  I used the star pinatas, the ocean and blossom fringe tapes.

I made one of the stars for a boy and one for a girl, and used our newest Big Top Birthday stamp set and Big Top Birthday Nice and Neat dies to decorate them.

Special tinsels pull tabs are also available in WMRK collection, as well as confetti for filling.

For the toppers I used a lion and a bear from the same Big Top Birthday set along with the Seeing stars Nice and Neat die for a background.

I'm so happy how it turned up:stars, circus and bright colors came together to make some fun for children! Even my cat General was interested with tinsels and wanted to grab some candies :)

Hope you enjoyed our collaboration this week, and huge thanks to We R Memory Keepers for sending us so many great goodies to play with!

Neat & Tangled / We R Memory Keepers Day 4

We hope you have been enjoying our collaboration with We R Memory Keepers this week.  The DIY Party collection, has so many great items.  Amy is here to day to share some more great products from this collection.

Hi!  Amy here to share a couple cards I made using the following products:

We R Memory Keepers 3x5 Kraft & Gold

We R Memory Keepers 3x5 Kraft & Blush

along with the Big Top Birthday stamp set

I made a trio of cards!

The Tag Die makes it super easy to punch out quick tags.  I mixed and matched the body with the toppers for added interest.  The Party Bear uses the Kraft & Gold 3x5 paper pad for the tag topper.  I decided to stamp the sentiment on the interior at the time I mail out the cards.  The beauty of Big Top Birthday is that they could be for any celebration!

The Party Clown uses the 3x5 Kraft & Blush paper pad.  I love that donut balloon!

The last card is the Party Bear that uses the 3x5 Kraft & Gold, I just flipped the topper over for a solid design.

The tag punch is super easy to use.  Trim your paper strip to either 1 inch, 1.5 inch or 2 inches wide.  The length is your choice.  Slide it through the punch and press down firmly.  Presto...Tag!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!
