Punchinella Birthday

Hi there! Laura here for my first post with Neat & Tangled...woot! I combined several different products to create a fun birthday card.Neat & Tangled-Punchinella
I used Punchinella for the background, Gifts for You for the balloons & sentiment. The "happy" die cut is from Happy Holidays.

I love how the balloons look transparent over the Punchinella stamped background. I rock n' rolls the balloons to get a bit of darker inking on the bottom and blended ink on the word die cut in matching colors.

Happiest Birthday to You!

Hey all, it's Amy here with a birthday card:

I decided to watercolor just one of the bears that I stamped from the Happiest Birthday set.  With a bit of masking, it gives the card a fun look.  I also added tiny dots to him!  The sentiment is from the Gifts for You set.

I'm trying to build up a birthday card supply.  For some reason, those aren't my go-to card designs so I'm always running around last minute creating them.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by and don't forget to pop over to my blog to find out who the winner of the Scrapbook Circle Mix Tape/Neat & Tangled exclusive stamp set is!

Clean And Simple Love with Taheerah

Hey everybody! Happy Thursday! It's Taheerah here with you today to share a card!

Sometimes you just can't go wrong with a Clean And Simple design! And just because it's a CAS design it doesn't mean you can't add interest in other ways! Today's card also helps stretch those stamps just a little too!

Here's what I came up with:

I love how this turned out!

I started with a white card base and added a panel of cardstock that I wet then peeled a layer off to give a rough texture. I used one of the arrows on the My Favorite stamp to add some interest in the top corner. It's also hard to see in the photo but I flicked on some shine mist too just for some added interest!

I added a paper heart die cut from a vintage book, then layered on top of it a heart stamped on white cardstock from the Sunday School Songs set. I added the sentiment from one of my all-time favourite sets, Gifts For You, accented with some awesome sequins from the Birthday Bash Sequin Assortment and I was all done!

I hope this card brought some fun to your day! Thanks for stopping by!

March Guest Designer: Katie Gehring!

Happy Friday!

I'm here today to introduce our March guest designer, Katie Gehring! Does she seem familiar? Most of you probably remember her as one of our design team members! She is so sweet and talented and I'm thrilled to have her join us this month!

She used the Just for You stamp set to create a simple and fun birthday card.  On a 3x4” rectangle, she stamped ‘celebrate.’ Then she stamped the balloon with pale aqua ink and stamped the balloon string as an extension of the letter ’T.’ She placed a post-it note over the sentiment to ensure that she didn’t get any stray ink on the sentiment.  Next, she stamped a heart from the Gifts for You stamp set with red pigment ink so that the heart would keep it’s bold hue.  She adhered the stamped panel to a card base that she covered with some patterned paper and washi tape.  A few black sequins add a finishing touch!

Super cute, right?

Hope you all have a great weekend, and don't forget March release starts on Monday, March 9th!

Hello Neat & Tangled Fans!  It's Amy T here with a quick card!

I might have several 6x6 pads of paper.  I'm trying to make an effort to use some of my older papers and came across this fun sheet.  I did some masking with post it notes and stamped and colored.

I can never have enough thank you cards so I did some masking on the thank you sentiment to get the words to stack differently to accommodate the limited space I had to work with.

I managed to use 3 different Neat & Tangled sets:

What are the go-to type cards that you design?  Thank you?  Birthday?

Stretching Your Stamps And Dies With Taheerah!

Hey everybody! Happy Thursday! It's Taheerah here with a loved-up card!

I really feel like small dies and stamps get neglected a lot when we create. Actually these stamps and dies can end up being some of the most versatile of the bunch! Today I pulled out the two heart dies from the My Plate Is Full die collection and put them to good use!

Here's what I came up with:

I love how this turned out!

I started with a panel of white cardstock and die cut the hearts from it - many times! It actually didn't take that long because I put them both through at the same time, and I was going for a random 'falling' pattern so I didn't need to worry too much about positioning.

When that was all done I watercoloured my card panel, splattered on some mists and dried it with my heat tool. I then pulled out one of my all-time favourite Neat & Tangled sets - Gifts For You - and stamped my sentiments. I built up the 'A Lot' part by selectively inking some of the letters from the other sentiments - clever huh? :-) I love stretching my supplies like this! I added the full stops by hand with a marker, adhered my panel on top of some patterned paper and onto my card base and I was all done!

Do you enjoy stretching your stamps? Which other Neat & Tangled stamps or dies are you now looking at in a new light? :-)

I hope this card brought some fun to your day! Thanks for stopping by!
