January Guest Designer: Laura Sterckx

Happy Friday! We made it to the weekend!

How about we celebrate with a card from our January guest designer, Laura Sterckx!

Hey everyone! Laura here from makingcardsisfun.com and today I am sharing my last card as a Neat and Tangled guest designer. I had so much fun making cards with these products. Today I am using the Sparkle and Shine stamp set along with a spectacular mix of sequins.

First, I stamped a lot of the images from the Sparkle and Shine stamp set using black ink. This stamp set is simply fabulous and I could probably make about 100 cards with it because it inspires me so much. You could use the little stars to create a background, you could create a big focal point using the lightbulb, etc. I colored all of the images using Copic Markers and I added some sparkle using a Clear Wink of Stella pen.

After stamping my sentiment, I adhered sequins from the Birthday Bash sequin mix from Neat and Tangled. I adore these sequins. They are super sparkly! Next, I adhered the stamped piece on a standard sized card. I adhered two small strips of glitter cardstock behind the stamped piece by the way. It just adds that extra bit of sparkle.

January Guest Designer: Laura Sterckx!

Happy Friday! Today we have another card from our incredible January guest designer, Laura Sterckx!  Her card today is so incredibly sweet!

Hello Neat and Tangled fans. It's Laura here with my second blog post as a Neat and Tangled guest designer. Today I am sharing a project combining two N&T stamp sets and a beautiful mix of sequins. 

I noticed that gems and diamonds are oh-so hot in the card making world lately. That's why I used the beautiful Sparkle and Shine stamp set today. After stamping two of the gems on patterned paper by Dear Lizzy, I cut them out and adhered them on a white notecard. Oh and of course I added a bit of sparkle on there using a Clear Wink of Stella pen. 

I am still slightly obsessed with the Little Bear stamp set. Every time I take a look at the bear, I just want to grab my black ink, stamp it on card stock and color it using Copic markers. That's exactly what I did today. :) Next, I created a sequin shaker using a pretty scalloped frame from Dear Lizzy and the Pixie Dust sequin mix from N&T. Finally, I adhered the bear on top of the acetate and I also created a speech bubble using a die cut from Simon Says Stamp and a greeting from the Sparkle and Shine stamp set.

January Guest Designer: Laura Sterckx!

Hello everybody! It's Laura here from makingcardsisfun.com and I am so happy to be guest designing for Neat and Tangled this month. I had the chance to work with awesome products and I can't wait to share my projects with you. For my first project today, I am using the Little Bear stamp set. This is one of my favorite Neat & Tangled stamp sets. :) Since this is my first blog post for N&T, I decided to kick off with a card that describes my style the best. Cute stamps and sequins.

First, I took a standard size notecard and stamped the adorable bear from the Little Bear stamp set. After coloring him with Copic Markers, I took a leftover piece of wrapping paper. (By the way, you could also use kraft cardstock and stamp white stars on it. The Sparkle and Shine stamp set has some great star stamps in it.) Next, I die cut a circle out of the starry paper and I heat embossed a greeting from the Little Bear set on some vellum using my favorite white embossing powder from WOW. I adhered the banner onto the piece of wrapping paper by simply adding teeny tiny dots of Glossy Accents behind the white letters. 

Afterwards, it was time for the part that I enjoy the most. I created another sequin shaker. This time I used this new product called Fun Foam for the  shaker. I cut it to the same size of the starry paper (4" inch x 5,5" inch). Then, I cut a hole in it using my scissors. Finally, I adhered the Fun Foam onto the card using a strong adhesive and I sprinkled some sequins from the Festive Fall Sequin Mix. Finally, I adhered a piece of acetate behind the circle and I adhered the full window piece on the Fun Foam using some more strong adhesive. That finished up my card. :)
