Tiny Triangles

Hello Everyone.... Joni here! I want to share with you the card I created using TINY TRIANGLES. Here's how I started my card. First I create my card base from a white cardstock, then cut a panel where I stamped the TINY TRIANGLES background stamp using white embossing power then heated with a heat tool. I then distress the panel very slightly using Peacock Feather Ranger ink pad, and adhere on the card base. For my focal point I then again heat embossed the tiny triangles on a separate white cardstock using white embossing powder, then distress it with Wild Honey & Peeled Paint Ranger ink pad. Once the distress ink has dried up, then cut the distress panel using a flower die-cut. For my flower I used PTI Funky Floral dies as for the leaves I just hand cut on my own leaf shape then adhere on the card using foam square. You can use any flower die-cut with this technique as long as it shows the tiny triangles when you die-cut. As for the sentiment I used the "THANKS" sentiment from STOP & GO stamp set. To finish off my card I added some Studio Calico Shine and adhere some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and I'm done.

Here's the full view of the card.

I hope you guys enjoyed.

Thank you for visiting :)
Have a Fabulous day!!!

Just for you

Hi everyone!  Amy K. here today with a fun technique that I don't do nearly enough but I love the results!!!  Simple masking.

I've made a sweet spring inspired card using the balloons from Just for You.  I added in some dots (these were stamped off once) from Party Dots randomly around the balloons to resemble confetti!  I've stamped one of Danielle's fabulous handwriting stamps over some of the hand drawn balloon strings........LOVE!

That's all for me today but I hope to get out and enjoy the Spring weather we're to have here today!!

Colour Block Pop!

Hey everybody! Happy weekend! It's Taheerah here with a post-release pick-me-up!

Colour Blocking is a great way to add bold blocks of colour to a project. This fashion trend is easy to tailor to masculine or feminine cards, and can totally change to fit the mood or recipient too!

For my card today I really wanted some bright, fun colours in a striped arrangement. Enter some of my favourite sets - On The Strip 2, Across The Card and even a touch of Santa's Tags too!

I love how bright and happy this is!!

I absolutely *love* using the reverse of strip stamps - it instantly doubles your options and widths! I stamped the reverse of the largest strip from On The Strip 2 some bold bright inks from Hero Arts - in fact I even double-stamped the teal and the pink for a bolder colour pop!

I interspersed this with thinner yellow and aqua lines, pulling out the shorter line stamp from Santa's Tags to give the desired width! The (true) side of one of the thinner lines from On The Strip 2 provided that bold pop of fuchsia!

All that done, it was time to add a sentiment. What better stamp to go with a colour block look than one of the strips from Across The Card? This married perfectly with the striped look and provided a great contrast to break up the colours!

Just one last, quick note! I run a weekly challenge on my own blog called Cure For The Monday Blues. The inspiration photo this week is full of magnificent pops of colour and even some colour blocking close to this card, totally by coincidence! I'd love it if you submitted an entry for it. The current challenge ends tomorrow at 5pm EST!

I hope this card brought some sunshine to your day! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello there! It's Lisa Spangler, back with my last guest designer project. I've had so much fun being the guest designer this month! So sad that it's my last day. Thanks again to Danielle for having me. It really and truly is an honor. Now on to today's project! As soon as I spied the envelope in the Just Hello set I just HAD to make a set of notecards and matching envelopes with some BasicGrey patterned paper. Just had to be done!
I just took apart an envelope that I had handy to make a template, traced it on the paper and cut it out. Love how the double sided paper gives you a built in envelope liner!
To add a little interest, I stamped the envelope twice on the card front to make a shadow. Just stamp off on scratch paper before stamping on your card. I also edged the cards with a dauber in coordinating colors.
One last tip before I go! If you apply Tombow liquid glue and let it dry it becomes reposition-able! So I put some on the envelope flap and smeared it with my finger, then let dry. I'm going to add a little washi tape when I mail these to make sure the flap is secure. And that is that!

Thanks for joining me! xo

Watercolor, CAS!

Hi there!! Today I'm showing you a simple and easy card to make.

I am in love with the most recent, Hope Anchors stamp. I feel like it fits my life perfectly. I say that because my husband is in the Navy. With him being in the Navy, anchors seem to pop up everywhere. Anyways, I fell in love with this stamp the first time I saw it and knew it's what I wanted to use with the type of card I wanted to make. For the card base, I took a piece of watercolor paper. With two different colors, pink and orange I randomly started swirling circles alternating colors. There was no rhyme or reason to it. I just make it look the way I wanted! I then heat embossed with Versamark Ink and white powder the sentiment. It popped up so nicely on the card front. I adhered the card with foam dots to a piece of coordinating cardstock. For a finishing touch, I added some iridescent sequins.

Super easy, right?! This technique could be used to mass produce many different cards!

So make sure to become a fan of Neat and Tangled's Facebook page! Thanks for stopping by!! :)
