LOTS of Distress Inks and blending for the background.
I was upset after G's little adventure yesterday so I took part in some retail therapy. Let's just say, I have lots of new Hero Arts stamps coming my way. I would have ordered PTI too, but I'm waiting until the 23rd to do that.
Oh, and in case you were curious, I snapped a little picture of his arm this morning (a day later).
Like what you did with your card
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful - I love the colors and the building in front! As to your little one - that would surely p*ss me off. From the looks of it, the kid took a big bite - and not sure how he managed it up your son's arm. I'm sure he screamed or cried or something. Someone should have noticed if they were properly watching them. I sure hope they get themselves in order and ensure the kids are safe. Hugs to your little one.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, your poor son! I can't believe that, I hope you have a better experience next time...

ReplyDeletelove the card and WOW at the bite! so sorry about that. i can say (having a 7 yo and a 4 yo that were each bitten) that the kids who do it do grow out of it and (not having read the story yet) as long as the parents/daycare are on top of it, things should be okay.
ReplyDeleteOMG. So sorry this happened. I'm sorry, too, that I simply didn't have any good advice for you in your previous post. I'm not sure what it is about the YMCA, but that has been one of the only places that I just haven't felt comfortable leaving my girls. Especially when they were young like G. I was never able to put my finger on "why." Guess it was just one of those paranoid mommy things.
ReplyDeleteThe card is great...love the blending!
Boy, no wonder you were so upset about that bite!!! I can't believe that they didn't hear something/anything coming from his direction with a mark left like that! I hope that something is mentioned from a higher-up to those workers!
ReplyDeleteAs for your card.......GORGEOUS!!! Love that a little craftail (that's what I call it....lol) therapy did you some good. Keep them coming, you are rockin' these challenges!
What a GORgeous take on the color challenge! Great card. I had fun browsing around your blog - what a cute n crafty gal you are :) I'll look forward to following your adventures! (I'm a long time teacher who WANTED to stay home w/ newborn twins, but DH won out so I bring home the bacon and he's the domestic engineer!)
ReplyDeleteAhhh....retail therapy. I've got the boxes rollin' in this week. I used to be just an emotional eater but somewhere along the line I added shopper to that as well - heh. I love this bright orange and yellow...like you had on that flower down there...so summery and fun.
ReplyDeleteYay for new goodies on their way to play with! Your card is beautiful. I have such trouble with Distress Inks. I never get them to look that smooth.
ReplyDeleteAs for G's bite, holy smokes! No wonder you were so angry! I would have been, too. That's awful. And ridiculous that they didn't realize that something was going on. Poor baby. He sure has sweet tootsies though! ;o)
