March Guest Designer: Katie Gehring

Hello lovelies,

Katie here to share a card I made with the Crafting is my Jam stamp set.

This set is so much fun, and perfect for making cards for all your crafty friends who feel the same way about crafting! I stamped the sentiment on white card stock, masked it with a simple post it note and stamped the curvy line of stitches.  I added the needle through the loop of the “j” so that it looks like the sentiment is part of the stitching.
Crafting is my Jam is available for purchase in the shop or you can score this set with any $60.00 purchase in March or April as part of the “You’re so Neat” program.

Before I go, I would like to thank Danielle and her team for having me as their guest this month.  I have had a wonderful time, and I appreciate the opportunity to share some ideas using the amazing March release!  Thanks for stopping by!

Take care,
Katie

Put your scrapbook supplies to use!

**ALL ORDERS PLACED MARCH 25 - MARCH 30 WILL BEGIN SHIPPING APRIL 1**
Hey Neat & Tangled fans! I hope you are having a great week. Rachel here today sharing a quick card using some scrapbook supplies and Neat & Tangled stamps. I love scrapbook supplies - even though I don't scrapbook as much as I'd like, I am constantly stocking up on the latest lines.

I wanted something bright and cheerful for today's card, so I grabbed some papers from Elle's Studio Shine Collection and some fun embellishments from my stash. Using various circles from the Dala Horse set, I created a colorful pattern across a journaling card. I stamped the sentiment, also from Dala Horse, on a silver label.

The circles in the Dala Horse set are perfect for interesting backgrounds, highlighting a sentiment and much more. They have such a delicate and interesting shape - I really love them! Its so fun to stretch your supplies to combine the your scrapbook stash with your stamps. My starting point is usually an interesting journaling card and I build my card from there.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have some time to get crafty this week!

**ALL ORDERS PLACED MARCH 25 - MARCH 30 WILL BEGIN SHIPPING APRIL 1**
Hello friends! Yana is here taking over the Neat & Tangled blog for a day.

My stamps arrived a bit late this month so I had to miss out on all of the fun during the gorgeous Neat & Tangled March release. But luckily, my stamps finally made it all the way to Ukraine and I'm beyond excited to be sharing a couple of my projects using the new goodies. This is going to be a long post so I suggest you grab a cup of your favorite coffee, sorry, I meant to say drink.

I'm going to start by showcasing the stunning Paris set. I love love love all of the images from here, my favorite one is definitely the Eiffel Tower with the cutest bow on top. Adorable!

Cards with new release by Anna

Hello! Anna is here to show you my cards I made with stamps from the last release. Things happen and I didn't get my new stamps in time, but I'll sharewith you my view on new sets in any case!

And the first one is card with Crafting is my Jam set (stamp+die). Absolutely amazing set and it's all about cardmaking, isn't it? When I saw this stamps at first time it was this idea - to put all supplies in a box made with this box die. Looks so cute!

The second card is for Paris stamp set. It has so much elements and every of them inspires to so much designs! For this card I chose macaroon stamps and stamped the background with three different colors and then colored them with watercolors. Than just added a sentiment and some sequins.

Next card is with using of Scandinavian Flower and Dala Horse sets. I stamped the background with light spring colors and added "Happy Spring" sentiment and dots.

And the last one is very clean and simple, but I like it! I used Giving Tree set here. Stamped and colored with watercolors branches and leaves. aded a sentiment.

What do you think about new release? I absolutely adore it!

March Guest Designer: Katie Gehring!

Happy Friday friends!  We've got our March guest designer, Katie Gehring, back again to today! I am totally in love with her project :)

Katie here and I am seriously “felting" the love for Neat and Tangled's Dala Horse dies. The Dala Horse dies are such a great size and scale that I decided to whip up a little stuffed animal Dala Horse using a bit of felt, some ribbon and thread. I die cut the Dala Horse shape twice from felt and stitched the layers together using white embroidery thread and a simple blanket stitch. Before stitching the animal shut completely, I paused to add some poly-fill stuffing using the blunt end of a pencil to help push the stuffing into all the nooks and crannies of the animal.

I used tacky glue to adhere the saddle and mane trimmings and stitched a loop of gingham ribbon to the horse to serve as a hanger.  A black brad serves as the horse’s eye.

I stamped the circles included in the Dala Horse stamp set with Red, Aqua and Yellow ink before adding the sentiment with black ink. I cut around the largest circle and clipped the circle tag to the project with a wooden clothes pin.  The Dala Horse looks so sweet and could be used as an ornament, for gift packaging, in baby room decor or even as a fun tag for a child’s backpack.

I know these sweet Dala dies are out of stock currently, but if you go to the product page HERE and click the Email Me when Available link and enter your email address, you will get a note when the dies are back in stock.

crafting + coffee

Hello!  It's Amy T here!  Aren't you LOVING the March Release?!  So many fun new products!  My card for today features

I cut a to-go cup and embellished the coffee sleeve!

Coffee + Crafting = ♡

All the images are from the Crafting is my Jam set.  We all have to have sequins & glitter with crafting and coffee!

I did some quick watercoloring on the Cosmo Cricket - Just add Watercolor paper.   We had an earlier collaboration with Cosmo Cricket using that fabulous paper!

I finished off the coffee sleeve with Powder Blue Sequins.

I'm linking up to the current Little Tangles Challenge:

Inlaid Die-Cutting with a Dala Horse

Hey everyone!

Mayuri here to share a card that teams the Dala Horse dies with a bit of inlaid die-cutting!

©Candles in the Garden. Neat and Tangled Monthly Post MAR2015. Dala Horse Inlaid Die-Cutting.

I created a card and matching tag using minimal supplies - a few scraps of coloured paper, the two Dala Horse dies and a couple of stamp sets for the sentiments (though these could come from anywhere).

I've been using this technique on a few cards recently, and really like the result. I basically die-cut concentric squares out of various coloured paper using some square nesting dies. This gave me lots of coloured square frames, which were then inlaid back into one another onto a piece of scrap white paper, starting with the smallest and working my way out to the largest.

Once I was happy, I took the Dala Horse dies and die-cut the large and small horses out of my concentric square piece. I foam mounted the large one to a card base, and the small one to a tag.

On the card front, I stamped a sentiment from Dala Horse and on the tag, one from Scandinavian Flowers, with black dye ink. To finish, I added a wood veneer star on both horses and pulled some red twine through the tag ;-)

Thanks for looking!

With Heartfelt Thanks

For today's project, I thought I'd focus on the smaller stamps from the Dala Horse set. The smaller sentiment is from Scandinavian Flowers. They work so well together! I stamped the both sentiments together using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It worked perfectly, even with the super fine lines.

I stamped the three circles and four flowers from Dala Horse in the two corners using Versamark ink and heat embossed them with glitter gold embossing powder. Then I used Gansai watercolour paints to add colour in those corners. To finish, I flicked yellow paint across the card and embellished with Gold Dust and Buttercream Satin sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
