Hello-hello Dear Friends,
Daria here. For today's project, I was playing with To The Stars stamp set. I really love all the things about stars and sky. They make me dream.
So, I've just had to make a couple of starry night cards. I started with the backgrounds. I've made a few with distress inks, applying them directly to paper. Then, I took the one that I liked the most, and added some spatters in white, and finally misted it with a Shimmer Mist. Then, I cut it in half. This way, I had enough to make two cards from one background.
I stamped a few sets of images from the To The Stars stamp set and die-cut them using coordinating dies. I coloured all the images with alcohol markers. Those images are very easy to color, yet they look so adorable.
I took my night sky panels and adhered to the card base with a foam tape. I offset one of the panel. I think it adds more movement to the card and makes it more interesting. I played with the placement of elements, and adhered some directly to paper, some with a foam tape. A few gold sequins play the role of stars on this card.
The Shimmer Mist shines so beautifully in real life, but so difficult to capture on photos.
I also used sentiment from another set - Dream Big. And, it is basically it.
Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you've liked those ideas and will give them a try.
Have a wonderful week,
D.
