Hello crafty friends! It's Nina-Marie with you today! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season and for those of you that celebrate, I wish you a VERY merry Christmas!
Today I have a set of holiday cards to share... no, not Christmas, but rather Valentine's Day! I know we haven't gotten past Christmas yet, but these holidays pop up so quickly, that I like working ahead!
I thought it would be fun to share some inspiration on creating envelope Valentine's that could be used in a variety of ways... there would be perfect for kids to make and give to their friends; super cute to slip into your kids' lunch bag or hide for a loved one to find; or just mail as a cute little "thinking of you" note for a friend.
What makes these cards so cute is that the card and envelope are joined together to create an semi-interactive design. I think these are adorable... and the added bonus is that they are VERY easy to put together!
I made mine using the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board; I selected my desired finished-envelope size and went to town scoring, punching and folding my patterned papers to create mini Valentines.
I paired the envelopes with the Kitty's Favorite Things stamp and die set from Neat & Tangled; cats hold a soft spot for me and this little guy just melts me! I watercolored the images with Zig Clean Color markers.
In the video below, I will walk you through how I created these little Valentines, and share some tips along the way too... I hope you'll check it out! Thanks for visiting me today!
What sweet valentines!
