Each day this week, two of our designers will be showcasing projects made with Neat & Tangled stamps and Cosmo Cricket's new Just Add Watercolor line. Be sure to head over to the Cosmo Cricket blog to check out Julie's post from Monday and leave a comment. She'll draw a winner for a $25 gift certificate to Neat & Tangled. Of course you'll also want to leave comments here. At the end of the week one lucky winner will be drawn to receive a 12" Watercolor Paper Deck.
Today May and Yana are sharing their projects.
Hello, it's May here sharing a few cards that I made using the 6x6 Just Add Water Color paper pad.
For my first project, I watercolored my embossed panel with various colors of Distress Inks. Then I finished off the card with the sentiment from Across the Card.
Since I wasn't satisfied with my watercolored card, I tried some blending technique to create a background using springy colors for my second project. Then I stamped the sentiment from Paper Cut Flowers. It was easier than first one, but I'm not sure if I like my one-layer cards or not. What do you think? By the way, the Just Add Water Paper Pad from Cosmo Cricket is absoultely amazing. Hope you have a chance to give it a try.
Hi everyone! Yana is here and I'm dying to share my new card made using the fabulous Cosmo Cricket goodies. I have to say, I am a bit intimidated by watercolor. I am always afraid to ruin my project and I try to stay away from any actual watercolor painting.
But when I was the new Cosmo Cricket Just Add Watercolor line I knew this was "my thing". Easy and simple!
But when I was the new Cosmo Cricket Just Add Watercolor line I knew this was "my thing". Easy and simple!
To create this card I started small - I painted a heart on a small resist square and revealed the You & Me sentiment. I also created a fun background using the Tiny Triangles die - I used the negative die cut triangles and arranged them into a pattern. I used several colors of cardstock including gold to match the printed sentiment on my watercolored panel.
I also heat embossed several birds using stamps from the My Heart Sings set and that finished my project!
I encourage you to give the Just Add Watercolor line a try - I'm sure you will love it just as much as I do!
Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to check out Julie's post at the Cosmo Cricket blog and we'll see you back here tomorrow.
