Just popping in quickly to share the cover for my December Daily. If you're unfamiliar with what this is go to Ali Edwards site to check it out. In a nutshell- it's a photo album/scrapbook/journal/catch-all for the month of December. This is perfect for me because I am a Christmas nut. By far my favorite time of the year, especially now with the kiddos.
Many people choose to do a small album, maybe 4x6 or 8x8. I opted to go with something larger, 8.5x11, only because I know I will have tons of pictures, stories, keepsakes from the month. I can't remember where I got the album (Two Peas or Amazon?), but it's by American Crafts. It has a chipboard cover which is nice because it can be altered. I picked red for obvious reasons, but it did come in a variety of colors.
To be honest I don't know how I came up with the idea for the cover. I was in the midst of a Christmas card making frenzy and had some left over felt snowflakes and twine. Then a day or two later I got my number dies in the mail and thought it would be fun to use them. I stamped some white cardstock with the Hero Arts Flower Dot stamp, cut the numbers, and then adhered them. I added some buttons and twine to the snowflake, stamped the word December, and the rest is history.
If you are doing a December Daily and have pictures send me a link so I can check it out! I'm always looking for inspiration.
