Sleeping has become quite the chore what with my enormous baby belly. Only 6 weeks to go! I'm ready to meet this little guy.
In an attempt to brighten my spirits I made this really bright and happy card. I love this butterfly stamp (sorry if you're sick of seeing it!), and the new Indie Bloom paper is just gorgeous. Also fell back on my favorite die set. Can you see I've been practicing with my Copics? I watched a few YouTube videos and actually bought a book about the basics of using Copics and I think it really helped. I have a long way to go before I'm as good as half the crafters out there.
I was also happy to be able to play along with the Young Crafters Unite blog for their first challenge. A really fun and talented group of girls on the DT.
So here it is!
Usually we run around like crazy all day, but I think I'm going to use this rainy day as a good excuse to stay home, build a fort, snuggle with G and watch Disney movies all day. Tomorrow is Friday!

Ooh very nice, I like that bright pink butterfly! You did a great job coloring it! And I love the sentiment too! Thanks for joining us at YCU! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! Love that the butterfly is pink =) Thank you so much for joining our first Young Crafters Unite challenge!
ReplyDeleteUm, I hear ya on the family vacay. Maybe there is some way we could like switch for a week! :-) Also, the card is perf. Love the combo of the large pearl, medium pearl, small pearl, one of my favs!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your card!
ReplyDeleteI remember how hard sleeping was in the last few weeks. Nothing seemed comfortable. And the heat doesn't help. You're in the home stretch! These 6 weeks will fly by. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat combination of pattern paper and coloured butterfly, Danielle. Love that 'happy' die cut. It sure is a great addition.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I remember how hard it was to sleep towards the end of my pregnancies. Have you tried sleeping on your side with a pillow in between your legs? That seemed to help.
ReplyDeleteI love that pretty colored butterfly...practice makes perfect for sure!
This is so pretty! Love the colors and your coloring of the butterfly rocks!
ReplyDeleteLovely. The papers combined are gorgeous! Don't half mind A fab butterfly myself. Wonderfully inspiring work!
ReplyDeleteNot long now. Hang in there. Hugs!
