Waaaaahhhhhh

Imagine that title in the voice of Snooki (for those of you who watch Jersey Shore).

I submitted my first few cards for the most recent Paper Crafts publication call. Sadly, none got picked up. Oh well, there's always next time right. I'm actually not surprised considering I rushed through them (forgot about the deadline), and immediately thought of a million things I would have done differently.  Live and learn I suppose. Maybe I won't procrastinate so much next time...is that even possible for me?

Here was my favorite of the 3 I sent:

Well, I am off to finish packing up the last of the Christmas decorations. Now that the holidays are over I am ready for Spring!

Paper: Sweet Blush and White cardstock (PTI), Pretty Pastels patterned paper (PTI)

  3. This is a great card! So cute! This is so funny bec the card I posted today on my blog was one I made/submitted to papercrafts too. I wanted so badly to do a WWWWAAAAAAHHHH post too. I was going to post about it yest, but chickened out. But today when I went on Laurel's blog & saw the wee Memories challenge...and that even if my card wasn't picked for Papercrafts (this time...maybe someday) it worked for the challenge today, so I submitted it. What the heck. I'm so glad u posted this bec its how I felt yesterday!

  4. Great use of Perfect Pearls and blingy pearls. This is a cute card.
I just read that Paper Crafts chose work from 55 designers from the latest submission. Nine of the 55 were first timers for the magazine, which is less than 20%. Don't get discouraged. At least you got a blog post out of it. ;-)

  8. hahahhahaa, totally love it in the voice of Snookie! ;) Your card is fun! I love that little telephone from Lawn Fawn! Here's what you have to remember about submitting...the only sure way NOT to get published is to NOT submit. So, would you rather have a sure thing or a chance ;)
    Keep trying :)
