November Release Redux Cards by Taheerah

Hey everyone, happy Wednesday! It's Taheerah here today to share some cards featuring the November release!

It seems that my release package wanted to travel the world a bit and got lost in Mexico! I was so sad to miss out on sharing some Release Week projects, but once my replacement package finally arrived I couldn't wait to tear it open and get stuck in! So although I didn't get a chance to join in with the other talented DT ladies, that just means I've got the limelight to share them with you now!

Totally swoon-worthy, right?!

Let's start with the first card:

For this one I used the May Your Holidays Be stamp set and combined it with the girl elf from Elfs And Their Shelf. I threw in an older set too called Happy Ornaments to turn it into a scene!

I cut out the centre of my main ornament and turned it into a fun shaker pocket! And I loved trimming the banner in two so that I could have it loop behind the ornament, and to have that cute little elf perched on it as it swings!

Next up, it was time to take the Scandinavian Prints Christmas set for a spin:

I created my own patterned paper right on my card front, stamping with a non-traditional colour palette!

Little added details for the stars and snowflakes came courtesy of the May Your Holidays Be and Elfs And Their Shelf sets respectively. The sentiment from Santa's Wonderland is the perfect finishing touch!

Speaking of Santa's Wonderland, I really wanted to play with it on its own too, and then I came up with a really cool and unique idea...

I used partial die cutting to create a snowglobe! I die cut most of the circular ornament from the May Your Holidays Be dies, then used the banner from the same die collection to create the base!

I created a fun shaker scene using the penguin, North Pole and snowflakes stamps. It was quite labour intensive to think through and put together, but the end result was so worth it!!

I used the Merry And Bright dies for the sentiment, doubling up my die cuts- one with black on top of gold, and the other reversed! There are so many fun details and lots of dimension in this beauty and I'm so proud of it!

And finally, possibly, my favourite was saved 'til last:

I built a super-fun scene using lots of different sets! Santa's Wonderland, Elfs And Their Shelf, Beary Merry and Into The Woods all feature here, and they go together perfectly!!

I curved the shelf stamp on my acrylic block to make a sled!! Then I got busy piling on the presents and little extras, and coloured everything with colouring pencils. The deer from Into The Woods makes a perfect Rudolph to tow this sled! I masked off all my images after colouring then ink blended my sky over them, having first heat embossed my snowflakes. Some shimmer, glitter and a gold cord tied everything together perfectly. Whoever gets this card is definitely on the Nice list!

I hope you loved these release projects as much as I loved creating them! The November release is probably one of my most favourite to date, with a few of the new products out of stock currently - so make sure you sign up to notifications for your favourites to know when they're back in stock! Thanks for stopping by!

Box Full of Holiday Happiness with Daria

Hi Dears,

Daria here. For today's project, I've decided to play with  just released Berry Merry stamp set (it is simply adorable) and with all time favorite - Box die. At first, I wanted to fill the box with different ornaments from Happy Ornaments stamp set, but then decided to add all kinds of images.

For me, Holiday happiness is also about decorating the tree and digging into a box full of old ornaments that we have from my grandma and from the times when I was very young...

I started by stamping some images from Beary Merry Stamp Set. I made the simpliest coloring possible with just one color. I think the black and white stamping plus one color gives this card a more modern look. You  may choose any color you like to put some accents. But I really loved the new Lime green Sequins and wanted to use those on my card.

For my sentiment, I used the same stamp set and stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink. It is the best ink for sentiments and detailed images.

Here is a video on how fast and simple this card is, hope you can check it out :)

That's finishes up my card for today. Hope you liked it and got into a holiday crafting mood.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Daria.

One layer cards for the Holidays

Hello everyone!

Sveta is here today and I'm going to show you two simple one layer cards. There are just a few more days in the year to send some love to our friends and relatives that are far away from us. One layer cards are very suitable for envelopes and posting: lightweight and without any dimension.

For the first card I created a stamped background using the pretty deer from the Santa's ride stamp set and colored it with watercolor pencils. I chose the large main sentiment from the Very Merry stamp set and completed it with a little one from the Winter Wishes stamp set. Glitter on the "Merry" word was the final touch for card.

For the second card I used the ornaments from the Happy Ornaments stamp set and colored them with watercolor brush pens, also adding some snow from the Winter Wishes stamp set and glitter.

Here are a few close-ups:

Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry Little Christmas

Hello, dear readers!

Today I want to share a card using the pretty Christmas tree from Merry Little Christmas stamp set, I also used the Merry Little Christmas coordinating dies.

I had much fun coloring this tree with watercolor brush pens! To add some sparkles to the garland, I covered it with Stickles and also covered decorations with Glossy accents.
For my background  I decided to create a newspaper look using a really sweet sentiment from Happy Ornaments stamp set  and accented the panel with Bokeh Vellum Circles (Soft and Lovely). I adore these tiny vellum pieces as they always add just the right special touch.

The sentiment is also from a Merry Little Christmas stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.

I also have a question for you.  I'm planning to start making videos for my future posts.  What kind of videos you would like to see?  Maybe you want to see some particular products or techniques? Please let me know in comments below!

Thank you!

More November Release goodness!

Hi everyone!

Mayuri here to share my projects for the November release - I didn't get to take part with the DT because I was off filming a class for Craftsy! But, I had to play with the new stamps and dies, and show you what I came up with ;-)

First up, its Bright Baubles:

This card uses one of my favourite techniques, where I take one image and stamp it repeatedly with Distress Inks. Here, I laid down an oval mask in the centre of a card base and used the christmas tree branches to stamp all the way around.

I then removed the mask and stamped the large sentiment from Happy Holidays with black dye ink in the centre. I paired it with one of the smaller sentiments from the same set and created a few Glossy Accent embellishments with the small bauble images from Bright Baubles. Next up, Christmas Journaling:

For this card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the set with black dye ink onto a piece of the Cosmo Cricket 'Just Add Watercolor' paper, which I'd already added some colour to. I filled the sentiment in and stamped a couple of the stars from Happy Holidays.

I also die cut some stars and hearts from the panel using the new Little Bits dies before foam mounting it to a card base. I had already sponged some Delicata Golden Glitz ink on the base so that it would show through the little die cut apertures! To finish, I die-cut a sentiment using the Happy Holidays die from some gold foil cardstock. Here's what I came up with for Happy Ornaments

This card was really fun, quick and easy to create - I began by white heat embossing the decorative bauble from the set onto a piece of cardstock, and simply smooshing an acrylic block on top! First, you cover the acrylic block with a few dots of ink (reinkers or Dylusions Ink Sprays work really well), and mist with water. Then, you quickly stamp with the acrylic block on top of the embossed area - when you remove the block, the ink starts to move around and blend together!

To finish, I added a sentiment from Happy Holiday and a few sequins! Here's my card showcasing Little Angel:

©Candles in the Garden. Neat and Tangled November 2015 Release - Little Angel / Classic Tag 1

I used the Classic Tag 1 die to create a tag out of a Distress Inked panel from my stash, and then stamped the Sunburst image with Versamark ink. I lightly brushed the stamped areas with gold Perfect Pearls for some sparkle! I used the Seeing Stars die to add a layer of die-cut stars beneath the tag and adhered both to the card front.

I stamped a sentiment beneath the tag from Little Angel and then stamped the angel image onto watercolour paper. I coloured her in with Distress Inks before die-cutting her out with the matching die and foam mounting her to the tag to finish. Here's my last card, using Merry Little Christmas:

A simple bit of 'messy' watercolouring can make any stamp set go so far, and that's what I did here. I began by stamping a sentiment and the presents from both Merry Little Christmas and Santa's Ride with Archival Jet Black ink, and then adding some loose ink splats with Distress Inks. For some interest, I also went in with a white gel pen to add a bit of detail.

That's everything for now! I really hope you enjoyed my take on the November Release!

Thanks for stopping by ;-)
