Hello friends, it's Keeway! So tell me, how much do you LOVE the October release? My jaws dropped the day I laid eyes on them, and I jumped on coloring them up the day it arrived on my doorsteps. For today, I'm going to be sharing a card that I made with the Into the Woods stamp set, designed by our very talented Elena, and pairing it up with the new Scalloped Dies!
I was so drawn to the gust of leaves that this was actually the first thing I stamped on watercolor paper. I was immediately reminded of that song Colors of the Wind. Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Yes!! Yes, I can and I will!
I painted colors of brown, yellow, orange, red, and green surrounding the leaves I just stamped. Ah, the beautiful colors of fall. And then I painted some brown for the ground for my critters to stand on later.
Next, I stamped my woodsy critters and colored them with copic markers. I then die cut them with coordinating dies, and adhered them to my watercolor background with foam tape.
I wanted to frame the scene, and I did so with the Scalloped Dies. I really adore the large scallop shapes of these dies, and to create my top and bottom edges, I used the largest frame to die cut just one edge of my latte-colored card stock. I also used a white gel pen to add little decorative dots to it. And lastly, I embossed my sentiment from the stamp set in copper in the center bottom. These pieces were adhered to my card with foam tape as well. And that's it!
Thanks for dropping by!
See you next time,
Keeway
