Thankful

Hello, all! Its Yana here with you today sharing a Thankful for Pumpkin card. Do you ever do stamp surgery with your clear stamps? I have no idea who came up with idea of cutting your clear stamps apart to make other images, but I'm super happy (and thankful) they did!

I used new Neat & Tangled Pumpkin Everything stamp and cut the pumpkin image out using my scissors. I wanted to heat emboss a background using just the pumpkin, so I had to cut the wording off. If I were to stamp the pumpkin just once I would have probably masked it and kept the stamp intact.

Of course I simply had to heat emboss an entire background (I used Satin White Pearl embossing powder and Arches Cold Press watercolor paper) using pumpkin image and watercolor it using yellows and reds. Love the result and the warm fall colors of this card.

I used a Thankful sentiment from the Maple Leaves Journaling card stamp set and heat embossed it in brass. I also added a messy nest using gold metallic thread and adhered a few sequins from the Festive Fall Sequin Mix

What are you thankful for today?

  2. I love the colors and how you did the card. I love the fall like I love the spring because there is a lot of yellow, my favorite color around everywhere! The trees, like your pumpkins, look so colorful! You asked what we are thankful for? My dad & mom both being alive, dad 91 he will be 92 in Nov. and mom being 88. I'm a caregiver and for all the years that they did that to me, I am grateful to do that for them, dad especially. I'm thankful I have a roof over my head, 3 squares a day, family who loves me and all the stamps and stamping supplies I could possibly ask for! I am blessed more then I can tell you!
