August Guest Designer: Cristina Kowalczyk!

Hello, hello! And happy Friday friends! What better way to kick off your weekend than with some cards by our August guest designer, Cristina Kowalczyk!  She has 3 amazing cards for you today, all using Sailmates! I don't know about you, but I am not quite ready to say goodbye to Summer yet, and these cards are helping me keep it going!

I'm back! And this week is all about Sailmates. It's such a cute set and so perfectly on trend. 

I made three cards this week. For the first one, I stamped the sailboat image and then used a craft knife to cut out the sails and the boat. Kind of a DIY negative die cut. :) I backed the negative spaces with some strips of paper that seemed nautical-ish. That great little sentiment finished it off. 

 

On the second card I used the "You keep me anchored" sentiment. I just love the font of it. Tres modern. I watercolored some stripes in various shades of blue and teal, let it dry, and then stamped over it. I used a Zig pen to draw a line connecting the "o" to the anchor. 

 And that sentiment struck again on my last card this week. This time I embossed it on navy paper and popped it up. Underneath, I ran some strings of twine, stapled them in place, and added a few stamped elements that I fussy cut. The striped paper along the bottom was sitting on my desk from the first card so I threw it on, too. Nautical to the max.
