Easter Basket Treats

Hello!
Chari here today to share a cute easter project using the woodgrain pattern from On the Strip 2.

EasterBaskets

To create these little baskets I cut some strips of paper slightly narrower than the stamp width from a 12x12 sheet of paper.  I then stamped the stamp twice (end to end) to create the patterned strips.  I cut off the extra at the ends that didn't get stamped.  Then I wove 8 strips together, 4 one direction and 4 the other direction to create the square bottom of each basket.  I used some washi to hold the pieces together then I scored and folded the strips up to create the sides.  The horizontal strips I scored and folded into a square, the ends held with a glue dot, and slid them down into the side strips.  The remaining ends that were sticking up are folded down inside the basket and glued down to create a finished edge and a more sturdy basket.  I embellished the top edge of each basket with some ruffled shear May Arts ribbon, adhering it on the inside of the basket.   The little bunny on the outside of the colored basket was cut with an impression obsession bunny die and white felt, with a twine bow.
