ReplyDeleteI love the warm sunshine in the summer time! And being able to hang in the pool or a lake. I live in the mid-west and our winters can be loooooonng! So when summer hits I like to be outside any chance I can!
My favorite things about summer are Popsicles and the 4th of July fireworks!! It doesn't feel like summer without them! Thanks for the chance to win! :)

ReplyDeleteAlready been following you. Usually in summer everyday in the evening I do prepare something cold or chill to have. it could be chilled icecream or custard and juices.... and chilled cold drink with popcorn. which we cant do in winters.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about summer is seeing all the butterflies that are now floating around my yard since I planted a lot of beautiful flowers. And since we live on a lake, taking the boat out but that hasn't happened yet since we haven't had a lot of warm weather here in the NE part of WA state.

ReplyDelete1. my backyard birds (humming birds are my fave), and
2. working shortened hours (I work in a school and get off at 1:00) so I have my afternoons to watch said birds....and scrap of course! :)

I guess right now my favorite thing about summer is the fact that it is cooler here in the NW than in CA, but as I sit and write this, I have the heater on, and it is rainy outside---yes the calendar really does say summer!

ReplyDeleteI love the long daylight hours. I can work with my flowers and plants or sit under an umbrella with a glass of iced coffee and a good book and listen to the birds. Being able to cook outside instead of in my hot kitchen is an extra good thing. I can't wait for our first tomatoes, blueberries and raspberries to ripen. Thanks for a chance to win.

My fave thing about summer here on the east coast of South Africa is rain after a blisteringly hot day - the delicious smell of the hot earth, the relief as the temperature drops and the sound of the heavy drops on the roof.
