Then Comes the Sun

Hey everyone!  Miriam here today sharing a CAS card featuring the new Fractal Cloud set.

I used a no-line color/painting technique for the cloud.  The cloud was stamped with Antique Linen distress ink, and then painted using black Kuretake Gansai watercolor, I just varied how watered down the pigment was for each section.

The set comes with these great gemstone like raindrops, but I wanted the focus to be just on the cloud and sentiment, so I painted in a some very thin subtle rain drops instead of using the stamped images.

The painting takes a bit of time, but if you've wanted to try no-line watercoloring, it's a discrete shape, and all straight lines, so it's a good one to try the technique out on.

Hope you are having a great day!
