Hello friends! Danielle here!
I am so excited to be playing along with Kathy Racoosin today for her latest 30 Day Coloring Challenge! This is seriously the best challenge ever because it's so simple, and you can spend as much or as little time as you want! All you have to do is color something! It could be a little flower, or an entire scene - whatever you feel like. Just have fun! You can get even more details HERE. Be sure to share your work during the challenge by using #thedailymarker30day on Instagram, or linking up HERE.
I was so excited to break out some pretty watercolors and just RELAX. We are gearing up for our March release in a few weeks which is keeping me busy, so it was really nice to just sit down and paint!
Kathy and I thought it would be fun to both use the Faceted stamp set. I started by gold heat embossing it, and then watercoloring. I love how the gold shines :) I also embossed a sentiment from a new March set you will get to see soon! Lastly, I added some of our Sunset Shimmer Mix sequins (my personal favorite mix!) to add a little pop!
I do hope you will take some time to play along!
But wait, I also have a GIVEAWAY for you! To win our Faceted stamp set for yourself, leave a comment below and tell me what is your favorite thing to color with?
I think Kathy might have a giveaway for you too ;) So be sure to head over to her BLOG to enter!
Thanks for stopping by!
Danielle

ReplyDeleteThis card is absolutely beautiful! I love that stamp and the gold embossing with the watercoloring is gorgeous! I love to color with Copics and with colored pencils.
ReplyDeleteLove this card. I usually color with Copic markers, but I'm trying to perfect my watercoloring as well.

ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose just one medium, it would be watercolor, I am constantly amazed by how beautiful and easy watercolors are. That stamp is gorgeous, thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteHonestly right now my favorite ting to color with are my Bic Marks-It markers. They are cheap alcohol markers, but they *are* alcohol markers, so they lay down smooth and don't pill the paper. And they come in a nice range of colors. They come in both fine and medium widths. And they are cheap, so i don't have to baby them like Copics.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card, Danielle!
ReplyDeleteI love to color with distress inks and watercolor)
WOW, this stamps is awesome and love your color combo...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite medium is aquarelable pencils, though I just bought alcohol markers and I am learning to use them and also I am learning some techiques with aquarelles.
Hugs,
Ardilla

ReplyDeleteI love what you did with this stamp, especially the gold embossing! My favorite coloring supplies are my water brush and anything I can use it with: inks, watercolors, watercolor crayons, etc.
ReplyDeleteHi Danielle ~ I love the way that both you and Kathy embossed your images and the fact that you both took different approaches to coloring them. Think I'm going to give them both a try!! Your "Hello" sentiment is an awesome font!! Thanks for sharing!!

I've always loved to color, since I was a child. Then, of course, I used crayons, but now as an adult, I prefer to color with pencils. I have two sets; one for home and one for the road that I use when I don't have internet access! Sometimes I print out coloring pages from online and I recently bought a coloring book. I actually prefer to print pages because I can pick exactly the images I like!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card to send a cheerful message! These days, I always reach for my Zig Clean Color Brush markers or Gansaii Tambi watercolors to play :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I like to colour with watercolour pencils.
ReplyDeleteI love it! thank you so much for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome card! I like to color with water color pencils. Thanks for sharing your time, talents, and inspiration with us.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Love the vibrant colors with the gold! I like watercolors best followed by Distress Ink!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I have not yet decided what my favorite medium is, but I use all things Distress most often I think.
ReplyDeleteLove that background and the gold embossing powder.
ReplyDeletecool looking card. Usually I color with Copics, but I have been playing with watercolor paints the past week and I have been having a ball!
ReplyDeleteThe more cards I see with this stamp set, the more I want it!
ReplyDeleteI've really been into coloring with water colors lately. I love to watch the colors flow and blend! It's very relaxing and fun!
ReplyDeleteThis stamp is awesome. I love my Zig Clean Color markers and watercolors.
ReplyDeleteHi Danielle,
ReplyDeleteI love this faceted stamp set! I would have to say my favorite thing to color with is my watercolor pencils. You can adapt them for almost anything. For backgrounds though I love my Dr PH Martin Hydrus water colors. Great job with this stamp.
Wow what a great stamp set love it and all those shapes and sentiments too - great. I love using watercolours to colour and am gradually getting better using them. I can see this stamp used and coloured in greys with a sympathy sentiment to cheer and support all in one. Would love to own it. Love your card and the gold embossing just gives those vibrant colours a real pop.
ReplyDeleteThis stamp set is amazing! My favorite thing to color with depends on what I am coloring! Nothing beats good old fashioned crayons for the sheer joy and relaxation of it, but if I am doing it to create something then I prefer colored pencils (I like Derwent Inktense) and pens (Staedler Triplus for those tiny spaces). I'd love to get into Copics or other more Art markers, but the prices have been a deterrent.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, love the stamp and your colouring. I need to practice with water colours
ReplyDeleteso I tend to use Promarkers and pencils.
WoW! I thought Kathy's was awesome, but I am amazed at how the gold embossing powder enhances the "jewel" effect. Great job. Thanks so much, for the inspiration and the chance to win this beautiful stamp set.
ReplyDeleteI've been participating in Kathy's last 3 color challenges--she's amazing! My favorite thing to color with--it's a toss up between my Derwent colorsoft pencils, copics and the zig clean color markers. Depends on what I'm coloring and what I want for final result. Love your card and this stamp is awesome, so fun to color!
ReplyDeleteYour card is awesome! Thank you so much for shareing!
ReplyDeleteI like to use my zig water color markers but I'm not as good as both of you ladies I still have lots to learn
ReplyDeleteSo love that stamp and your beautiful colors
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. Love this faceted stamp set.
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention my favorite thing to color with in my previous comment--currently, my favorite is using Distress inks to watercolor.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!! Love the colors and the gold embossing!! My favorite coloring tools are Copic markers, but I do want to practice more watercoloring.
ReplyDeleteoh I do truly love this stamp....and your card is SO vibrant--love it, too! My favorite thing to color with ... is whatever I'm using at the moment, to be honest. The coloring is so relaxing that it's always a treat. I'm probably getting better results with copics, because I'm new to all the watercoloring, but it's such fun that I just keep at it, hoping to improve.
ReplyDeleteReally hard to pick one favorite coloring method, Danielle. To color a pictural image, I usually prefer colored pencils and Gamsol, or sometimes Copics, but I love watercolors, too, especially for geometrics like this faceted stamp. It just depends on what mood I'm in that day. I like to try everything!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to color with is my Copics. I like the way they don't streak and blend easily. Your card is beautiful and I really like that sequin mix too.
ReplyDeleteLove these vivid colors! If I had to pick one product I like to color with, it's Distress Inks but I also love my Peerless Watercolors and Gansai Tambi. Each has unique qualities!
ReplyDeleteUuugh... that's hard to answer. For the moment, I am totally in love with all sorts of watercolor... but I love my Copics too! And of course, simple pencils are an easy and comfortable way to color... so you see, I cannot give a "straight" answer :)) Your card is awesome, by the way!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess colored pencils are my favorite. If I were better at blending, I would say Zigs or Copics.
ReplyDeleteI love colored pencils, but I don't want my Zig markers to feel sad. I love them, too!
ReplyDeleteMarkers of any kind!
ReplyDeleteI prefer my Spectrum Noir markers to color with but I use lots of different things. This stamp set is just awesome! So versatile!
ReplyDeleteI love colored pencils but lately have been using distress markers as markers and as watercolor "paints" - this stamp set would be so much fun to color!

ReplyDeleteThere are so many medium you can use, I love the gradation of color,
I love the coloring and the gold embossing makes it pop. Thank you for sharing and a chance to win. ~Mari~

ReplyDeleteI want to win, I want to win, I want to win oh and did I mention I want to win? LOL I love how you did this! I don't think I have gold embossing powder but I have silver and tons of other colors. If I was doing this I would do it lots of different colors and then I have an embossing powder that is black with colored glitter in it that would look amazing! I can't do that if I don't have this stamp! LOL I love what you did and if I win, I will defiantly send a card your way with my interpretation.
ReplyDeleteWatercolor is happy. This stamp is happy. Can't beat that combo!!! I love how simple and bright it is. And the sequins. Perfect touch!!! Watercolor, prismsacolor pencil and copic are my favorites. I'd love to give this stamp a go with all three.
