Hey Friends!

Design Principles Class Spot Giveaway!

This is my second post for today, for a card just go HERE
*************

Today, I get to give away a spot for Britta Swiderski's Design Principles class! It's just getting started over on her website, and I'm one of the guest designers! Here's a little bit more information on the class:
Design Principles is a class taught by Britta Swiderski where she shares the lessons she has learned in her college design classes and brings them to you in a language that we all speak – papercrafting! This class will nourish your understanding of good design and give you the ability to “talk design” when you see a card (or layout or advertisement or painting!) that gets your creativity flowing. This class consists of 5 and a half weeks of classes dedicated to making design part of your everyday life and creativity with more than 40 videos, dozens of card examples and a fun class setting that will inspire you on a daily basis.

To enter to win a spot in the class, comment below and I will draw a winner on Sunday! I can't wait to see you over at class! It's going to be a really fun time. If you already have a seat in the class, still comment below. If you win you can always give it away to a friend!

Hello Sunshine

Ah Thursday, that means it's almost Friday!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week.

Here is a card I made a few weeks ago. It's a little bit different. I made a border out of circles along the bottom, they kind of remind me of suns. It's bright and summery, hope you like it!

I'm Baaaack

Hey Friends!

Sorry for the blogging break, thanks for being patient :)  I'm working on a little CHA post and should have that up sometime later this week.

In the meantime here is a fun little card I made.  I don't really do masculine cards (even when I make a card for my husband it's usually not masculine lol).  This card was super simple to put together, and I think it's just perfect for a guy!

Have a great day!

A Little Blog Break

Hey friends!

I'm so excited to be heading to CHA for the next few days! Therefore the old blog will be a little quiet.

Follow me on twitter if you don't already, I'll be tweeting plenty of pictures.

Promise to do a post about it when I get home!

If you're going to be there look for me :)

Lawnscaping 38: Inspiration Photo

Hey friends!

I'm here today for another Lawnscaping Challenge. I'm sad to say that it will be my last challenge with them :(  I have some big things happening in August, and just don't know if I'll have the time to commit.  I'm so thankful to have been part of such a wonderful team :)

This week's challenge is based on an inspiration photo
I LOVE these colors.

Hope you'll join us for this challenge!

A Blog Named Hero: Inspired By!

It's the 15th of the month and that means it's time for a new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero.

This time the theme is Inspired By, and we've all chosen a Hero Arts artist as our muse :)

As always the winner will receive a generous gift from Simon Says Stamp

It was REALLY hard to pick just one artist when they are all so awesome, but when I was browsing for inspiration Shari Carrol's style really struck me.  Her cards always seem so clean, simple, and elegant. So that's the look I was going for

I hope you join us for this challenge :)

O'Tannenbaum?

LOL

Still have a Christmas card or two to share for my Christmas in July week.

This time instead of stretching my stamps I stretched my other supplies. I have these really fun glitter tapes and ribbons that I've never used. So I cut them up and made a sparkly tree :)

This is way more glitter and sparkle than I've EVER done. But I think by keeping the rest of the card white helps to balance the bling.

Hope you're having a good week :)

Merry Christmas!

Confused by the title of my post? Don't be, it's just Christmas in July over here.

About this time of year, when our big vacation has passed, and it's obnoxiously hot, I start pining for the holidays.  Confession: I am burning a holiday scented candle as we speak, don't judge! It really is my favorite time of the year.

I also just started taking the Stretch Your Stamps Online Card Class. It's only Day 2, but it's been amazzzing so far! You really should sign up for it if you're able.

While I love being creative sometimes I have trouble thinking of new or creative ways to use my stamps. I'm not like some people who look at a stamp of a sock and say "A PINWHEEL!"(this was actually done on a card I saw but I can't for the life of me find it to link to right now!). Anyhow, in an attempt to stretch my stamps. I tried to make a Christmas card using non-Christmas stamps.  Here is my feeble attempt lol

Anyone else already getting in the Christmas spirit?? I can't be alone.
